Rev Tim Herring?

I am using him and he handled my parents Vow Renewal at Leu Gardens. I really like him. But he doesnt give you much control over the ceremony. If you want that you should go with someone else.

I was thinking about the Leu Gardens. Is that where you are going. How far is it from Disney and how can I get my guests there and back? Please give me any advice you can if you don't mind. Thanks!

No, mine is at Shades of Green. It was easy to get to Leu Gardens from Disney. I don't remember how long it took though. Rev Tim gave directions. You could just give people a map. But you would have to have your own transportation. That could be a issue. It was a very beautiful place. Lots of flowers. Great pic places. Randy Chapman did their pics. Then they went to the Grand Floridian Cafe for their lunch after.

Do you have to be in the military to have a wedding there?

Someone has to be military or dod employee, I believe. Both of our DD's are Active Army. You could go to Shadesofgreen.org. Then look under eligibility.

we had rev tim for our august 4th wedding at the wp. he was great, i loved him, he is so funny. i highly recommend him.

We were married by Rev. Herring at the Wedding Pavillion in May, 1997 and I LOVED him! DH was late to the ceremony and I was panicked and he was lovely! The service was amazing! Just religious enough to feel "married" but not at all "preachy" like when will this be over.
We plan on a renewal at WDW and will certainly ask him to do it.
:thumbsup2

I just contacted him about our wedding. We're both Catholic, so we're going to have to do a private ceremony at our church before heading up to WDW. But, we still want our service to be a bit religious. Rev Tim is being great so far. He already sent us a book with different Catholic prayers and rituals that he can include into our ceremony. And, he gets back to you immediately. In one day, he had responded to my inquiry, verified that he was free for my day, and sent out the booklet. And all communication by email (which is great for those of us without time to call everyone!). So far, I'm very happy with him!:bride:

DF and I are Catholic as well and Rev Tim is doing a Catholic ceremony (minus the mass) for us. So far he has been very accommodating, although he is somewhat short in email. I've heard he's much more friendly in person.

we also did that, but we had the private cermony when we came back.

I've gotten the booklet of prayers from Rev. Tim, but now I have a new problem! He said that I can include as much as I want in the ceremony. But, I know that Disney said that I will only have 30 minutes. Has anyone had any experience with this? Also, if I choose to do readings, who reads? Do I have to pick someone from the family, or will he do them? We have to involve our families equally as to avoid bickering, and I think a reader could cause major heartache!:rotfl: (silly I know, but...)
Thanks for any advice!

In my contract (Intimate), it says that the ceremony is one hour and the reception is 30 minutes.

As far as the readings, there should be a page or two in the back of the book that you fill out and send back to him. It gives you a place to list which readings you're using and who will be reading them. I'm not sure if he'll do all the readings, but it doesn't hurt to ask him. Good luck! :wizard:

We had Rev. Tim at our ceremony and he was great!:goodvibes He was friendly and funny in person and also was recommended by Rev. Jack Day when we had to change dates.

Has anyone chosen Jack Day. Some one I know got married at Disney and had Rev. Jack Day and told me he was awesome.

I'm going to send in my requests to Rev. Tim tomorrow! Thanks for your help!;)

I had Rev Jack Day!!! Loved him...he does have a southern drawl. Its lovely, except when I didnt understand one of his words...and I repeated it wrong 2x before I knew what I was saying! Its funny now in the video though! He was great!
