Hey Guys:goodvibes

Ok so we ve started looking at Ministers & there sees to be a pretty long list to choose from:confused: . I ve started emailing them to gage what kinda responses we get. Im very much the kind of person who likes to judge what kind of person someone is by the language they use allowing their personality to come through.

We ve started getting replys, we had a really lovely response from Kevin Knox who seems a very warming person. Hes given us lots of information, attached a wedding planning guide & has made himself very available for any help or assistance we may need.

I was just wondering if any one has used him for their ceremony & what your thoughts of him were.

At this moment we re swaying towards going with him so please be totally honest with your opinions. I want to find the perfect person for our ceremony so i know with everyones help out there we ll easily narrow it down

Thankyou:)

Well, we booked him on the spot after our phone meeting. He's such a warm, inviting person and we really felt so comfortable having him read the ceremony we chose over the phone. It just felt so right. :goodvibes

I love how he's so eager to help you get started and actually pays attention to things that you say. I dunno, he's just so great from my little experience so far. :thumbsup2

He was the officiant we chose for our ceremony as well.

He was the first to respond to my emails and his information packet was just what I needed to customize my vows. He delivered them perfectly...with just the right amount of formality with a little bit of humor and charm.

Obviously, both DH and I were a bit nervous before the ceremony but he was warm and helped put us at ease.

He was friendly and very responsive and I highly recommend him.

:thumbsup2 DD used Rev Kev (1/4/08) and we all were happy with him....they didn't want a particularly religious ceremony and he went with whatever they felt comfortable with. He was at the rehearsal and was warm, friendly and put everybody at ease right away....

They did a sand ceremony and and had a blessing of the "hands and rings" and it was really lovely....everything they wanted!....but not too cheesy...

As a MOB, I can recommend him highly!!!!:cool1:

Hi

we used Kevin on the 28th Jan this year for our disney wedding

gotta say he is a great guy with a really strong voice.

he was very re assuring before the ceremony and did the service just the way we wanted

I would definatly reccomend him

Hey Wiserabbit congrats on your daughter's wedding!!

Congratulations to you as well mush...... YOU BOTH NEED TO POST PICS FOR US PLEASE:goodvibes

Here's the blessing of the hands we used for our ceremony:

Blessing of the Hands

Let us take a moment to bless the hands of (groom) and (bride). For it is through the hands that we demonstrate our love and commitment to one another.

(groom), please present your hands to (bride) as the gift of love that they are to her.

(bride) and (groom), these are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you.

They are being held by yours on this your wedding day as you promise to love each other for the rest of your lives.

These are the hands that will work alongside yours as together you build your future, as you share your innermost secrets and dreams together.

These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through out the years, and with the slightest touch will comfort you like no other.

These are also the hands that will hold you when fear or grief threatens to overwhelm you.

These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it the most.

These are the very hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow and tears of joy.

And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

that last line gets me everytime! :sad1:

Wow that'sa beautiful ceremony - even for me and I hate mushy stuff.

I might use that

I must admit when i read through all of the ceremony info he sent me i thought the "hands blessing" was really lovely . I think we may have to use that as its something a little unusual plus i think the wording is beautiful & honest, i had never heard of the "hand blessing" before i read the info sent to me. I ve also got my heart set on having a Unity Candle lit during the ceremony, i like symbolism & just think its a nice edition to have in between vowels & the Minister speaking.

What a lovely man (over email). I've got loads of info off Kevin Knox, he answered some queries I had and seems very genuine and friendly.

Hmmm, we are definitely swaying towards him :goodvibes
