Reusing Magic Band

Hello All:

Sorry if this question has been asked before!

I have 2 magic bands from previous trips. I am super excited for the next family vacation in September (that was booked as a bounce back 9/14)! My DM, who resides in FL, has decided to come along and will now be staying in my room. She is not participating in my reservation (which is free dining, park ticket, etc). I have placed her name on the reservation, but my question to all is can I bring with me and utilize one of my old magic bands and give it to DM so she can use it for going in and out of the hotel room?

You can't reassign the bands, but if she uses it only for room access, it will probably work. Make sure you test the band on the door before you give it to her.

Yes - That is all I would like the band to do (so DM can just keep the "room key" on her wrist rather than having to fish out a key card if I'm not around).

How did you put her name on the reservation without her needing a ticket or getting the dining plan for her (which of course would be free with FD)?


If she's ON the reservation at this point (there's a way to add people to a reservation once the bulk of the group has checked in physically at the hotel where they don't have to be on the package) then she's getting the benefits, and that means she'll have the opportunity to customize her own MB. (and you will too)

Old ones from your account can still work but you can customize new ones for anyone on your reservation.

"Slap" - that's the sound of me hitting my hand to my head! You are right - she can participate in all the benefits as previously I was the only person in my room (hubby can't take time off to join us) - and I was already paying the full price for double occupancy. Thanks for waking me up!!
