Reunion Resort

Anyone stay here. It is now available with Wyndham points and for a non-Disney Orlando trip, I was thinking of checking it out.

I've stayed there twice. It's a huge resort with lots of pools and a mini waterpark, golf, spa etc. I don't know what the deal is for waterpark access when you use your points but I know that when you rent privately from owners that you may not be able to use the waterpark.
Friends of mine own a pool house there. Is there anything specific that you want to know?

I have a few questions. How far of a drive to WDW? Any restuarants, shopping in this area? What "neighborhood" should I stay with 2 adults and three children? (Near a pool and fitness center) Thank you

It's about a 10 minute drive using I-4 to get on World Dr, Disney's main road. The Champion's Gate exit (58) on I 4 is just a minute or two away. There are a few different entrances to Reunion. The south entrance on Osceola Polk Rd is the best for getting to I 4.
One of the north entrances accesses Old Lake Wilson and the other Sinclair Rd which then goes to Old Lake Wilson. Old Lake Wilson will take you up to 192 and you can then get to World Dr. Either way will only take about 10 min. DHStudios will be the closest park (12 min)and MK will take the longest time (20 min) to their parking lots.
192 has hoards of eating places which you could be to in less than 10 min. using the north entrances.
Along the Osceola Polk Rd right outside the south entrance to Reunion there's a new Publix, Chinese takeout (which is good), Subway, Papa Johns, a CVS pharmacy, another pizza place, McDonalds at Champion's Gate and a few other things.
The Seven Eagles section has a very nice pool (zero entry) and fitness room. The Villas South is near the waterpark. The Grand probably has a fitness room too, their pool is on the 11th floor, nice view. Here's a map of the communities, we stayed in the Homestead section and Patriot's Landing in pool homes but visited the waterpark and pools in some of the other areas.
