Reunion Resort?

I found some condos and townhomes for rent on vrbo that are from the reunion resort. The pictures of the resort look absolutely beautiful and it looks the resort has tons of stuff to do. Has anyone stayed there and what did you think? Is it somewhat convenient to Disney? I think one review talked about it being right beside championsgate. So that shouldn't be too far but I am not too familiar with that area. Any advice or tips about staying there? Thanks

I have not stayed at Reunion but at WH - Reunion is about another 10/15 minutes down the same road so driving shouldn't be too bad.

By all accounts it is a lovely resort - the only thing I have read is that you have to make sure you are entitled to entrance into all the facilities when booking off of VRBO (such as the water park). Also it is a cashless resort - so you have to charge anything you buy.

I'm sure someone else who has been will be along shortly to help:)

I have stayed at Reunion and it is very nice. As was mentioned above make sure your rental includes access to the amenities. You register at the main hotel as a guest of the owner of your condo/townhouse and you get a credit type card. Whenever you want anything it's charged to that card: meals at their restaurants, drinks/food by the pool etc. The waterpark is great and there's planned kids activities some of which have a small fee to cover materials etc., also a spa and lots of sports and of course golf. It's about 10 minutes from Disney property using I-4 through the Champions Gate exit.
There's a new Publix complex with a bank, Chinese takeout, Pappa John's Pizza and some small stores just across from the entrance to Reunion. Also a CVS phramacy and a bunch of other businesses/shops adjacent to that.

I live in Champions Gate and there is a back way to Walt Disney World from Reunion. Just take Old Lake Wilson Road (it runs right through the middle of Reunion) about 6 miles toward Disney and you will come to Highway 192. Turn left, make the first right on Sherberth Road and this will take you right to the entrance to Animal Kingdom Lodge (to the left) or Animal Kingdom park (to the right). From there you can reach all Disney attractions. Nice way to get to Disney to avoid I-4.

Thank you for the responses. Some of the condos and villas look awesome. Any advice on what building or area at reunion that is close to the waterpark and pools? Thanks
