Hi everyone,

Looking for some advice. I am traveling with husband and son (4yo) in mid to late april 2013. We want to stay off disney to get a 1-bedroom place with kitchen and just more rooms to stretch our legs. I am interested in Reunion resort and Harbour lake because of the kiddie pools. My son can't swim, but really likes the small water slides and fountains.

How do these two resorts compare to each other? in terms of:

1) drive to magic kingdom
2) service
3) quality of the rooms
4) nearby restaurants and stores like Target/Walmart
5) parking at the resort (free/fee?)

Are the resorts pools heated in April? I have never been to FL in April. What is the temperature like?

Also, where can I get a price quote on these two resorts other than from the resorts' own website? Looking for a reliable middle man, don't have the time to browse through self listings.

TY for your help!

My family stays at Harbour Lake every year the first week of May. The weather is iffy. Last year was beautiful. Warm enough to swim but not too hot. The year before it rained every day.
The resort is beautiful with wonderful pool areas. Great for big and little kids. The rooms are better than Disney Resorts. They are very spacious and plush. They are very well stocked and immaculate and I'm a clean and germ freak.
Last year we could see the fireworks at Magic Kingdom from our balcony.
There is a Publix about 2 blocks away and a Walmart about 5 miles away. I dont remember seeing a Target. Oh, no parking fees.
My favorite things about Harbour Lake:
1)It's a small resort
2) great pools and water slides
3) convenient to parks and shopping
4) fun putt putt course on site
5) beautiful property
6) quiet resort
7) CLEAN!!

Can I ask if you booked directly with the resort or through another agency?

My parents are timeshare owners but I know you can book through Expedia or Travelocity.

I have not experienced Harbour Lake, but we had a great visit to Reunion over the summer. Beautiful resort, awesome 2 bedroom condo, and the waterpark is one of the best hotel pools in Orlando.:thumbsup2

I don't know reunion resort but you can't lose with a Marriott. We stayed at Harbour lake (then horizons) and it was very nice.
