Reunion/Bonnet Creek/Grand Cypress dilema

I'd be very grateful if anyone can help me!
We stayed at the Villas of Grand Cypress back in May for 2 weeks and had a fantastic time. We're looking at coming back next August for 3 weeks and we definately want a 2 bed property as we have 2 small children.

I'm in the minority in that we tried Windsor Hills in November 2007 and hated it so much we moved to SS after 5 nights, and I really missed not having a resort feel etc.

I'm a big lover of 5 star hotels, but with 2 children it's not practical so the Villas at Grand Cypress were a good compromise. I'm happy to go back there again but wondered whether we should try something else and I'm tempted by either Reunion or Bonnet Creek.

Any thoughts? Or have I missed anything else that would be even better?

Thanks in advance

Reunion may well be more like Windsor Hills than you'd like. As I understand it, it is primarily whole-ownership, though it's more of a golf resort community, so it might be a slightly better fit than Windsor Hills was.

Bonnet Creek, as a timeshare resort, is probably closer to what you are looking for. The one thing it is missing is an onsite full-service restaurant. When the new Wyndham hotel in that cluster opens, this problem should be solved. The Hilton and Waldorf=Astoria, across the street from the timeshare cluster, may be convenient enough to get to for a meal as well, but I'm not so sure.

Bonnet Creek may also be a step down from Grand Cypress on the luxury front, but I don't know for sure. On the other hand, Bonnet Creek has an oustanding location for a Disney-centric vacation.

The other possible option would be to rent a DVC reservation from an owner. Cheaper than booking through Disney, but probably not as inexpensive as either Grand Cypress

If it were me, I would probably return to Grand Cypress. I am a bit partial, cause I'm a golfer and I love the Villas as a result. I have not stayed at Bonnet Creek, although I intend to visit the Waldorf when it opens next month. The Reunion is a nice resort, but the location of Grand Cypress is superior in my opinion. Not only close to the restaurants, etc in Lake Buena Vista, but you also cant beat the "back enterance" into WDW from the Villas. Granted, my opinion may change if Im really impressed with the Bonnet Creek area, but given I've stayed at Grand Cypress since I was a kid, it would take a lot to sway me...

Thank you. That does go with what I was thinking, and I do love the location of the Grand Cypress which is another thing that concerns me about Reunion. I'm not convinced about Bonnet Creek at all but I do keep wondering if Reunion would live up to my expectations!

It's a good thing we're not going until August so I have time to obsess about it!

I was thinking of Bonnet creek but now that I have seen Grand Cypress it looks amazing!!! plus we are golfers as well.
Who would you or did you book through?? thanks

I think it also depends on your price point. You can definitely get deals at Reunion and Bonnet Creek. But I have not seen many if any at Grand Cypress.

When I priced Grand Cypress, it was almost $500 a night for a 2 bedroom before taxes. I have rented two bedrooms at Bonnet Creek for $120 a night with taxes included and have had the same offer of price through owners to stay at Reunion.

Not sure what you paid at Grand Cypress, but thought I'd mention it in case money is a concern.

Have a wonderful trip wherever you go!!

We paid about $200 per night for Grand Cypress in May by booking directly with them - they do offer good deals you just need to keep looking, and I certainly don't want to pay $500 per night.

There's just a small part of me that fancies Reunion, mainly as I then might be able to convince my husband to buy us a property there as I've seen some very reasonable prices!

Thanks again for the hep.
