Returns to World of Disney?

I posted last week asking about returns of disney world merchandise to disney stores and was told i'd need a receipt. My husband went nuts for Christmas and bought me every mickey utensil possible including a number of ones I already had. He snuck bought them the last time we were in Disney & he says the receipt is long gone. We're headed to Disney for a quick trip tomorrow and I was going to bring them along. What do you think the chances are that World of Disney will accept them back for at least a merchandise credit without a receipt? It seems valid to me, it was a gift that I already had.... anyone know?

The Disney Stores located outside of Walt Disney World and Disneyland (might be an exception to the store on 5th Ave. in NYC) no longer accept returns from WDW or DL or Disney Shopping.com. You will need to have a receipt in order to return your purchase to the location that you purchased the merchandise.

There are also limitations on the time you have to return items. Contact Guest Services for further information.
