Just made my final payment for my honeymoon cruise!!! I'm returning to the scene of the crime.
In May 2000 my fiancee and I got engaged on the Wonder. We decided to take a long needed vacation that year. Little did she know I had other plans. At our first sit down meal on the boat I had asked our server for suggestions on which resturaunt to propose. I had thought of Tritons and Palos. He persuaded me to do it in Animators Plalate because he thought the lighting and show would lend a more dramatic touch plus he needed time to prepare something. Well we had booked 3day land 4 night sea package so I had to wait a few days more to pop the question. The third day at serernity beach I was planning on what to say and rehearsing my lines. She caught me mumbling to myself a couple of times and thought I was crazy. Finanly the night had come. Our server had told me that we were set for after dinner.
He gathered all the servers and approached our table with a custom cake and bottle of champagne. He introduced me and announced that I had some important news. Everyone at my table including my fiancee had no clue what was going on. This was my cue so I dropped to one knee and propsed to her. She said YES and the rest is history... We were further pampered by Kenney Ledford the musical artist in the cadillac bar. He congratulated us and sang several of ou requested songs. We later returned to our stateroom to find some chocolate, a heart shaped brownie for two and a card from the crew. btw the cake and champagne were compliments of disney. Our server told us we were the first couple to get engaged on the wonder. Is this true? I didn't believe it.
We are getting married September 21, 2002. We depart on our honeymoon the following morning 7 days in orlando and 4 nights at sea(9/29/02). I'm so excited!!! below is picture from that magical night...
