Returning to the same park without park hopper

Just so I'm clear, I can leave the park, go back to the hotel, come back in the evening without the park hopper. As long as it's the same park. I thought that was the case but now I'm questioning myself.

Yes you can go back to the same park the same day.

Yes you can exit the park and return to the same park later in the same day no problem. We love going to dinner at Ohana on our Magic Kingdom day and coming back to the park later for fireworks.

Yes, I've done this many times and never get the park hopper tickets.

Thanks all. I thought that was the case, but then started overthinking it.

Unless the park closes due to capacity. Then they won't let you back in just because you were there earlier in the day.
