As a gift my grandmother gave me three boxed sets of CSI the TV show. I've never seen the show and I'm not really interested in them. I can't tell my grandma this so I don't know where she got them and how to return them. She lives in another state too. So how do I return something if I don't know where it came from?

Return it to wal-mart. They'll take back anything. :rotfl:

Or you could call and tell her one of the DVDs was scratched and you wanted to exchange it for a new set but you're not sure where it was bought.

Any place that sells them should take them back. Target, KMart...any of those.
You might not get cash back without a receipt. It may be in-store credit.
( If I didn't already have them, I would buy them from you....LOVE that show).

I had the same problem and took 2 dvd's to Target. The only thing I didn't like was we had to choose 2 items for exchange. My DS wanted to pick one PS2 game that equaled the price of the 2 dvd's.

I would recommend Target. They won't give you cash back, but they'll give you store credit.

If you have a costco check with them. They're awesome when it comes to returns and will give you cash back most of the time.

I would regift them, or sell them on eBay.

We've had good luck at Best Buy - my kids got some video games that they didn't want. I explained this and they took them without question. They did give store credit, but there are plenty of things to buy there :teeth: !
