Returning rental car to Alamo in DTD

I've been reading how difficult it is to return a car rental because the location is hard to find and doesn't have a place to park? We're staying at the Grand Californian, which seems to be pretty close to the car rental site. I'm thinking of driving to resort first, and then asking them where to go to drop off car. Has anyone returned a car rental to this location and had any difficulties or advice?

When I picked up/returned there the car was in a Disneyland lot. It was mildly difficult to find the car to begin with but super easy to return.

Did you just find a parking place near their office when you returned the car?

Sorry in my first post I missed the word "HOTEL" - it was in one of the Disneyland Hotel lots (possibly the Valet lot) we returned it to the same location when we dropped it off.

We simply chose the Katella location for return. They had a shuttle that took dh right back to PPH.

We rented at airport and stayed at GC last summer. The self park lot accross from GC entrance is where you park car to return to Alamo at DTD. check in first, unload and then go self park (use KTTW to open gate to parking lot or stop at security). Then simply return key to Alamo. If after hours there is a slit in door to toss keys.
