Returning Merchandise from a previous trip

I had bought my ds a Tigger door hanger on our last trip and never got around to hanging it up in his room (dh didn't want to put screw holes in the door) His room is now Superheros so the Tigger "doesn't go". I don't have the reciept but the hook still has it's price tag on it. (I got it at the DTD Home store) Does anyone know the policy for returning such an item without a reciept. Also my sister received two t-shirts for her DS's that she already had so she wants to know the answer too. I know that obviously if they don't carry it anymore they probably won't take it back, but if they do........??????

DS will give your sister (or anyone) store credit without a receipt.

You did not say how long ago you bought the Tigger. Can we assume it is in pristine condition? There is some reasonable limit on how long a customer should be able to keep merchandise out of a retailer's stock and still expect to be able to return it.
