returning at Macy's

i want to return something i bought last week. Have the receipt, but don't have the macy's credit card that was used (my friend put it on her card for a better discount). I am totally ok with the money going back on her card, prefer it that way.

Is Macy's one of those stores that can scan the bar code on the receipt and the return will go right back to the original card, or do I need to have the card physically with me?

yes they do...you should have no problem with it going back to her card if the tags are attached..

I just made a return at Macy's today and I didn't need my card.

As long as you still have the tag with the little yellow or white (can't remember which right this sec) "return" tag on it, you will be fine and it will go back on her card. I have done this before.
