So after no being n our favorite happy place for over 2 years, not counting the years prior where we both could not enjoy our trip and we each had a health issue during 2 separate trips. We are returning end of August. We are staying at AOA where we snagged a good deal. First time at AOA. Usually we stay at Coronado Springs or POP where we loved the Skyliners less bus time. My question is what are all the new changes since July 2022? Restaurants, attractions etc.

Great to hear you are heading back to the Most Magical Place on Earth! A lot has changed, but also not really. The good news is that AoA is right across from Pop and shares the Skyliner station, so you will be all set there. The Pop/AoA complex is the best property if you ask me!

One of the biggest changes is that park reservations are no longer necessary for dated tickets. Assuming you are using those, then feel free to attend any park and hop at any time if you have Park Hoppers. One thing to note is that some rides re using Virtual Queues - TRON Lightcycle/Run and Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind currently do, and Tiana's Baou Adventure might. There is no Standby line for those attractions and you must sign up for a boarding group in the morning, though they have been easier to get lately. Resort guests can do so at 7 AM. Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes are a whole different thing too, so brush up on that.

Some updates have been made as well. Epcot has a relatively new fireworks show and Fantasmic! has some new scenes replacing the Pocahontas segment. The Country Bears are getting an overhaul and are due to open back up next month with a new show. Test Track is now down for a lengthy refurb/retheme and I think Big Thunder Mountain is due for one too, probably once Tiana's opens.

I can't think of too much else off the top of my head, but feel free to ask questions. I hope you enjoy your trip!

They just announced changes ot the G+ system starting July 24. So new things to read up on!

Except we refuse to pay extra to stand in line after paying so much to get into the parks to begin with. We do the virtual Queue with no problem though as no charge for these. Changing the name does nothing as they still charge. Bring back the free Fast Passes, they worked great.
