I sure hope that's not the regular price. Thanks you guys,I'm going to check it again.

I think that prices have really increased since Free dining came on the scene. (remember the days of $10.99 all you can eat lunches at Akershus? I LOVED eating there.) Now the prices are sky high so everyone thinks that they are saving a bundle with FD. When FD first came out it was just over $30 per day for an adult. However, that was when prices were much more reasonable.

Its been 5 years since I have been there and yes there is def a big price difference. In 2009 it seemed much more reasonable and now I am just like seriously.

But everything cost more than in 2009, including groceries, fruit and produce prices, electricity etc, etc, etc.
I agree prices are high, but I don't compare them in a bubble. WDW prices are no worse, maybe better, that many local restaurants and sporting arena prices here in our area.

Yes, prices have increased in the real world too, but they have NOT doubled like they have in WDW.

The first year I got the DP was apparently one year after gratuities were included. Although I like the all inclusive feel when I get the DP, it still costs about $30 - $70 per meal in tips (family of 5) for TS. If I were smart, I would add some counter service in there (I get deluxe and go to a lot of 2 credit meals/shows), but I guess Im not that smart yet. Last year, my youngest officially became a Disney adult, so all in all, we spend $545 per day for meals, not including about $100 for gratuities I figure outside the park we would spend about $75 breakfast, $120 for lunch and $200 for dinner, so we are spending about $200 more per day eating at Disney. SSShhhh...dont tell my husband !!

I checked a few sources and the current dinner buffet price seems to be about $38 p/p, plus tax. I sure hope it's not $60!!!

Adult Dinner Buffet is close to $60 during peak season.

Adult price range: $38.33-$59.59; Child (ages 3-9) price range: $18.10-$20.23

This is the generic price range for ALL buffets in Disney. Use the AYCTE Pricing sticky at the top of this forum. Rusty keeps it up-to-date, and it is the most reliable of ALL sources on buffet pricing.

I copied and pasted right from all ears for Cape May. Dinner is $38.33 most times of the year for adults, but during peak season, they upcharge for $59.59. Normally I see $10 upcharge for peak, though this one seems to be $20. As the OP stated they saw $60. It is true, certain times of the year the dinner is 41 cents shy of $60.

This is one instance where allears is wrong. If you'll go to this sticky, http://www.disboards.com/threads/buffet-character-shows-aycte-pricing-as-of-05-17-2015.3108466/, you'll see that even the Thanksgiving upcharge meal is less than $50. There hasn't been a time in the last year and a half that Cape May was $60.

Yes, I saw that. It was for dinner, with tax included.

Its does not include any peak season dates, so Im not sure where you are seeing there is not an upcharge for peak season. I know from experience, there is. Like I posted above, its normally around $10, but now it is showing $20. Maybe that is just for one special meal, Christmas Day or something, but to the OPs point, he/she stated they saw $60 for Cape May and I was just pointing out that his/her eyes were not deceiving him/her and that in fact, at least one day per year, the price is just about $59.59 ($60)!

I think you are talking about breakfast and I am talking about dinner. Miscommunication. :confused3

1) The prices for 2014 Thanksgiving Dinner were Adult: $47.92, Child: $24.49
2) Don't expect a major increase.
3) See the sticky . . . . . . .

That's just the generic range of prices Disney uses:
$ = $14.99 and under
$$ = $15 - $29.99
$$$ = $30 - $59.99
$$$$ = $60+

What you posted is the generic. What I posted was an actual price range specific to Cape May for dinner. I just pulled a bunch more AYCTE prices from the same website (below). They are all different. I dont think they are using a generic range...but what do I know. I was only responding to the OPs original post # 1
