After being to WDW, how long or how soon until you visit again?

Do you stay at the same resorts, or try a different resort each stay?:D :earsboy: :earsgirl:

DW and I go down twice a year, usually for Memorial Day and then a week in December or January. We try a new Deluxe each trip, though we both have our favorites, so someitmes we split stays between a new resort and either the Poly or the Contemporary.

We start thinking about six months to a year after about our next visit. The last couple of trips we have stayed at YC. However, I would like to start branching out and trying something new each trip. Maybe that's how I can convince dh there's something new and exciting every visit!:smooth:

Well that depends. For several years now we have been going for our big annual trip the Saturday before Memorial Day through the next Saturday. Let's see...once we had so much fun we turned around and went again for a few days over July 4th. That's the shortest time frame we've ever waited before returning. Typically we go for Memorial week, then again right after Thanksgiving to see the lovely Christmas decorations. Once we went Memorial and then again over Labor Day.

However, this year we only got to do the Memorial trip. We bought a new house and funds just didn't allow for an extra trip.

Now, as far as do we stay at the same place...the answer use to be NO. But, now that we've stayed at YC/BC, we can't seem to tear ourselves away. We've stayed at All Star Music, CBR, CSR, Contemporary, Grand Floridian and like I said YC and BC (liked both but BC is our favorite) has stolen our hearts.

Since joining DVC, we have been going more often and it's getting worse instead of better!

We bought APs last December because we knew we'd be going back in June and would save $$$ by doing so. Then, a few members of the planned party had to drop out, so we canceled the ressie for an extra studio we'd borrowed points to book. Soooo, we had those points available and really wanted to try the new BCVillas for the Wine and Food festival at Epcot. We did an adult only trip for 5 days in October, and have been depressed since then thinking we couldn't get back until 2004 when we had more DVC points available.

Well, then they came out with the Dream Maker Winter special package, and for my birthday we will go for a 4-day weekend 1/30 to 2/2. I never thought we'd pay cash for lodging again after joining DVC, but the package rates are so good that we couldn't resist, since it includes the Ultimate Hopper pass for the 4 days. Plus, we are staying at the Poly for the very first time, a resort I've always wanted to stay at but thought I wouldn't since the DVC resorts have us spoiled!

We love trying the different WDW and DVC resorts, and the various DVC villas with all of the space and conveniences (kitchen and laundry in the 1 or 2 bedrooms, microwave and mini-fridge in the studios) have spoiled us to the point that we would rather choose between them, but since this is only 4 days and just DH & I, I'll splurge and eat all my meals outside of the room!!!

Now we are asking ourselves if we will really be able to make it to 2004 after this trip. I think our budget will prevail and we will have to!!!

We are very fortunate to live only 61/2 hours from WDW, so we can drive there with no problems. We usually try to go at least 2-3 times a year...and we have made our Anniversary trips A MUST now. We dont go as much as we used to, but we try to go at least twice a year. We try to stay away during summer peak months. We have come to not enjoy ourselves in the heat and crowd.

I like to try different resorts, but since we stayed at the WL, hubby thinks he lives there now...he loves it there. I want to try the Poly, the GF, Beach Club and the YC...but cant get him to budge from the WL!!!

We used to go once a year.

When we leave next week, it'll be our 4th visit ina year!

We have to make the most of those AP's

We like staying at different resorts. We have stayed at WL twice-because I love it. And at PO-RS/DxL twice, because we couldn't get CSR with a discount code in June.

Spring break for nine nights ... usually every year. 20 hr drive with camper ... always at Fort Wilderness!!!

We tend to go 3-4 times a year and always have at least one additional trip in the planning stages before we head off to WDW or DCL. That allows us to leave happy knowing full well that we'll be back before too long! :)

We have been going twice a year for the last five years or so. This year we finally broke down and bought AP's to save $$$. Since we activated the AP's Christmas day 2001, we have been:
12/24/01-12/31/01-AKL/YC
4/1-4/7/02-AKL
7/24-7/29/02-CBR
9/24-9/29-Off site
and we will be going back for 12/26-12/31/02 at the Dolphin and 3/29-4/12/03 at WL!

Planning to return Thanksgiving 2003 and Christmas 2003 and first week of February 2004.

We live in Atlanta and it is a 6-7 hour drive for us.

From once a year to occasionally 3 times a year. Were going down after Christmas for a week and then back again for spring break in April. My wife claims I get sort of grumpy if I go to long between trips. We fly 1/2 the time and make the 20 hour drive the rest of the time so its hard to go just for the weekend. I don't think I'm obsessive about it. 16 days and 106 days for next two trips.:p

It's turning into a once a year habit for us. Our next trip was decided and booked before we left on our last!

Erin :D

As Mrs. Snowgod stated above, as DVC members, we tend to go at least twice a year now.;)

6 times this year!

Nov 01-Courtyard DTD- $25
Jan 02-ASMo- $49
May 02-CBR-$84
Sept 02-AKL- $119- got a free upgrade to deluxe/pool view
Oct- 02-ASSp- $99- okay... this was spur of the moment- DH asked me if I wanted to go at 5:30pm- made reservations at 6pm- checked in at 10:30 pm
Nov 02-ASSp- $49- that's more like it, but x it by 2 , since we had two rooms (one for my niece and nephew).

Our Fl Res. Season passes really paid for themselves many times over. The 3-4 hr drive isn't bad, but I hate it at night!

Aren't going again until Thanksgiving 2003- GF or WL.

Still can't believe I have to wait that long-it doesn't seem real.

Definition of nemesis- Anything that stands between me and WDW!

The soonest we've ever been back was last year. We were there from December 19 - 24, then went back for a spur-of-the-moment trip on MLK weekend Jan. 18 - 21. We have AP's, so we went 6 times last year.

We're trying to stay at a different resort every time until we've done them all.

Lately it seems we're making plans for the next trip or 2 when we're on our current trip. We are seeming to average 3-4 trips a year now. Being that it's under a 3 hr drive and we have APs makes for an even better excuse to go more:)

We usually stay at the S/D but sometimes alternate with the WL or in our upcoming trip we're trying the FW cabins (since they are roomier & we're meeting up with family).

I like staying at the S/D because it feels like our home away from home and they are very convenient to all the parks & they're located in the middle of the magic!

We also tend to meet family and friends up there on our trips which makes them more fun although we'll still go ourselves if we have to:)

I'll tell you though, knowing that you have another trip planned while you're there (on your current trip) really eliminates that "Disney withdrawl" you get when you leave:D

Having an Annual Pass is VERY dangerous. We were at BWI Nov 4-9,2001 then our Big trip in the spring BWI again April 21-May 2, 2002 both of these were AP rates. We almost stayed at the YC but could not pry ourselves from our favorite resort. Then a totally unexpected trip with DH for our anniversary Sept 21-Sept 25, first two nights at BWI Concierge {ap rate with a complimentary upgrade to concierge} then over to the Villas on rented points for the rest. Then we were back at the World with 7 women celebrating Pooh"s Pal 50th birthday Oct 26-Oct 30 2nights at Beach Club Villas and 2 nights at Boardwalk Villas., all rented points!!A total of 26 days in Walt Disney World this year.....now we are in a major savings program for 19 days in 2004!! A planned trip is a necessity for me!!

You guys that are within four hours are lucky...I think. If we were that close, we would probably go once a month, maybe more!

We started about 7 years ago going once a year. After each trip we would talk about how we would skip it next summer because it would be too repetitive to go every year. Yeah right. About a week after saying that we couldnt wait to plan next years trip. Then my mom moved to Deltona which is about a 20 minute ride from there. Of course I have to visit dear old mom and since its so close we might as well stop off for a few days at disney. So then it became twice a year. Then we made the biggest mistake of all. We purchased annual passes, so then we thought, hey, since we can just do a quick and cheap stay for just the cost of the hotel and because its only right to visit mom as much as possible, lets try 3 times and last year we did. And what makes it crazy is that we arent rich and we drive from philly straight thru which takes about 16 hours. Were just addicted. It really is a different world. And of course we only go so much because of dear old mom.(wink wink). I really am going to limit it to twice this year...hopefully. We also do try to stay at different resorts. Were up to the deluxes now. I need a second job I guess.
