So we rotate tickets every couple years as we can only get 10-15 days a year in the parks and had not gone to USO since Harry Potter was opened.
Day 1 we leave at 6AM from Jax stop by Dunkin for bkfast and hit the USO 9ish after picking up APs.Head straight to Simpsons 5 min wait,Mummy 5 min,MIB 5 min.Walk around a bit relaxing with the DW get a coffee the off to Shrek 15min,RRR walk on the single rider line.
Lunch at Lombards DW get the reduced portion Asian chicken salad a little dry on the chicken but tasty.I get the lobster bisque, very good and am recommended the ravioli also very good.
Do a little shopping, rerides and of course walking off lunch.
Head to our hotel and get a shower and catnap before heading to Charleys steak house for our first installment of Magical Dining Month, salad is nice and we both get 10oz filets with 1/2 a Florida lobster, excellent is an understatement.Had double truffled cheesy fries(3 of my favorite words there)side and dessert trio of berries and cream, key lime pie and creme brulle YUM.
Day 2 starts at Cinnabon then of to IOA to ride FJ.Basically walked on.The ride is cool but it was a bit dark to me to get the full effect of all the theming.Rode both the dragons no wait.Had butter beer which was quite good, seemed a mix of rootbeer, creme soda and cream.Chocolate frog is LAME.Rode all the Suess rides(DWs faves)the off to Mythos.
Lunch consisted of the mushroom soup and veggie pad thai for me and again with the salad for DW.While it get rated as the best park eatery it is truly not close but still very good food and excellent service and theming.
Off to spend $10 in quarters soaking water ride riders then ride Hulk walk on the "secret"single rider line.Walk some more and off for another catnap.
Dinner is at Le Coq au Vin,we both have the onion tart appy.I get the tournedos de beef
and she gets the trademark Coq Au Vin.Dessert is crepes suxzette for me and apple tart for her.Bad 'hood awesome food in a quant homey atmosphere reminiscent of a a country inn in France.Planning a return.
Day 3 starts at Starbucks, then off to USO to Simpsons,MIB,Mummy,RRR all walk on.During RRR as the coaster got to 90degrees I feel my smartphone slide out of my pocket..ouch.As I get off depreesed a small kid says "did you drop this?"it had landed on his belly and he held on the whole ride...in the car behing us as i was in the back...awesome.
Lunch was at Emeril's,the $22 lunch trio we get salad, tuna tacos and sorbet.Best tuna taco on Earth.Service is impeccable.
Return to IOA for more Suess, quarters and reride Hulk and DW must do Spiderman.Shop for gifts and then clean up for dinner.
Dinner is Tchoup Chop where we've eaten quite a bit.settle on a spicy tuna sushi roll then DW had the eggroll and I get the shrimp app.Dinner is the beef shortribs(best I've ever had) and for dessert the flourless chocolate tortes YUM.
The 3 dinners were $30 per person +additional apps and drinks.pretty good in Orlando for the caliber of food and service we recieved.
