Return to Parking from Closed Event

This is sort of a unique question. I’m at a conference that is renting out part of IoA for evening event. By the time it is over at 11pm, the rest of the park will be closed. If I drive to and park at the parking garage, will I be allowed to exit back through the front gate of IoA to get to the parking garage? Wondering if anyone else has attended a similar event.

They should let you out. Citywalk will still be open for other non-conference guests, and there may be stragglers from USO etc. who haven't left either. You'll be fine.

I assume everyone else will be parked in the parking garages as well. Not sure how else they could let you out.

Thanks for the replies. Last year when they did this, I rode a bus to US that the conference rented for the event and we went through the normal turnstile entrance. When we left, we went through a back stage exit to the bus to go back to the conference center. So we didn’t go back the park entrance to leave. I assumed that area of the park was closed and locked up.

I've been to a few private events at Universal related to a conference at OCCC. While most of the attendees booked hotels closer to the convention center (and needed to be bussed in/out), HRH was on the "official" hotel list for the conference. So at least those folks needed to be able to walk back to their hotel via CW. There were also even more super secret-squirrel after parties where a vendor bought out a CW restaurant, etc. I don;t know if this would be the case for the event you're attending, but even if you go to the front and plead that you want to go to CW and spend more money they'll let you out.

You'll be fine. There may be only one set of turnstiles open but they'll let you out

Yes that was what happened. The conference rented out the Jurassic Park/Skull Island area and when I was ready to leave, I could walk back to the turnstile area with a park employee escort for most of the way. Interesting to see the emptiness of crowds when walking through the Marvel area.

Regardless of where you exit IOA, you have to go through Citywalk to get to the parking garage. The event at IOA ends at 11 pm. Citywalk is open until 2 am. You should still be able to get to your car between 11 pm to 2 am.
