Return rental car and take ME

OK, I know I have seen this asked before but I can't remember the answer and I can't find the thread. Planning to rent a car for the first few days up to the first week of our trip. When I return the car to the airport will they let me take ME back to Pop Century. I assume I need to let Disney know my plans before I just show up, but has anyone else done this?

Yes. Everyone is entitled to a roundtrip ride on DME during the dates of their stay. You will need to book it in advance, though.

Why not take ME to Disney, rent a car there and return it there and take ME when you leave?

Depending on the company you rent from, you might be able to return the car somewhere on Disney property. Alamo and National are at the Car Care Center, and most of the other large rental agencies have offices somewhere on Hotel Blvd.
