Please, we don't need your dark forces insults . If you don't like the Walton's, as many of us do, why not move on so we can keep this a fun positive thread.

The Waltons is back!! From the beginning, all 9 seasons will be shown on Inspiration channel Mondays at 8. Some good wholesome TV for a change

A wholesome family show that brings back lots of heartwarming memories that our young family always enjoyed.

We'd fix dessert to have with each new adventure. That night when going to bed we'd call out names. Ahhh the memories!

Our kids have given us a couple of Season dvd sets and maybe some day we'll have them all.

Thankfully our cable Comcast has Inspiration INSP 295, so lucky for us beginning tomorrow, Wed., we'll be reliving each episode once again.

I thougth your previous post was a joke. Are you serious with this? Devil worshippers? where did you get that from the show?

I've always liked The Waltons. Not that it was my favorite show, but I liked it more than Little House on the Prarie. Never saw anything "dark" about it. They befriended the sisters because they were old and lonely. It was very kind of them

Not only that, but you can also rearrange the letters to form "not slaw". As slaw is often served at church picnics, they are obviously mocking certain values!

Olivia Walton as written and played by Patricia Neal in The Homecoming was rabidly anti-drink; THAT character would have absolutely seen the Baldwin sisters as evil bootleggers. And no way in heck would she have ever tolerated a son working at the Dew Drop Inn. It may not have been a brothel but for a Baptist of non-drinking persuasion, it would just as well have been.

And when Elizabeth got Poltergeisted Heaven only knows what she would have done!

we went to the Walton museum couple of years ago. Tiny house(tho 2 story) ,the front yard is tiny and very little yard in back. It is right across the street from the school, almost spitting distance. Interesting how hollywood 'glams' it up.

I live about 2 minutes from the museum! I see so many tourists come through and I wonder if they're disappointed w/the "tiny" house and little school museum... after driving all that way. Was it worth it for you? I hope so.. I love my little town!

I've also been to the Waltons Mountain Museum - I went on the weekend of a cast reunion - so cool! I got autographs & pics with all of them that were there (Jason, Toni, Erin, Elizabeth, Mary Ellen, Verdie & maybe a few more that I can't remember). I had a great day meeting them & touring the place.

The reunion show airs Friday night. I had DH do a search. I have to watch it, too because I want to know about the devil worshiping.

I'm going to Google to see what I can find. I'll keep you posted!

Being an "out there" Californian, we had film school in grammar school. A studio would partner with an inner-city school and we would learn how to make movies.

I was able to visit the set of The Waltons and even sat in the store. The food was stale and yucky. We also got to see a scene get filmed. Trust me, it was really boring and slow going. We also got to watch Elizabeth (the actor who played her was ???) take school classes on the set. That was really interesting to me to see her and another student from another show have ONE teacher just for the two of them. I was eight at the time and quite impressionable.

I've loved the show ever since. I don't get this new channel so now I'm disappointed.
