The Waltons is back!! From the beginning, all 9 seasons will be shown on Inspiration channel Mondays at 8. Some good wholesome TV for a change

we went to the Walton museum couple of years ago. Tiny house(tho 2 story) ,the front yard is tiny and very little yard in back. It is right across the street from the school, almost spitting distance. Interesting how hollywood 'glams' it up.

They have just started re-runs of The waltons on TV here in the UK and I have been Sky +ing it for the last couple of weeks. This show used to be on Sunday mornings here when I was a child and I always remember watching it with the smells of a Sunday roast dinner wafting around me.

So, I Sky + it and watch a couple of episodes back to back while cooking Sunday dinner - it's great and takes me right back to my childhood. Only problem is I'm the one who's cooking now instead of my Mum

Ummm.. I think you seriously have them mixed up with some other family.. Cora Beth Godsey - the town tramp?? She was about as prim and proper as one could get during that time period.. Devil worshippers? That went to church every Sunday and were always quoting things from the Bible? Definitely confused, I think..

No - I certainly don't deny the two old Baldwin sisters that fussed around with "papa's recipe" - but they weren't out selling it door to door or offering it to the neighborhood kids when they dropped by to visit.. As for the Doo Drop Inn (or was that Dew Drop Inn?), it was never portrayed that way on the show (if in fact it was a house of ill repute), so unless your children researched the real-life Waltons in depth via the library, there was never anything shown on the series that would have made the show unsuitable for family viewing..
