Friday September 21st - Day 8
7 Year Anniversary
I woke up thinking what a great day I had planned today. I gave my foot a wiggle thinking it would be fine by now, it was not, I got up and had to limp to the bathroom, this was not a good start to our anniversary but I was soldiering on no matter what, DBF could push me in a wheelchair if needed, Mike was not quite as keen though for some reason.
We set off for Surprise number 2, The Keys to the Kingdom tour at Magic Kingdom. We arrived early and checked in. I rested my foot while DBF headed off to the bakery for some breakfast for us. I won't spoil it for those who haven't been on it but it was great, we both really enjoyed it and found out lots of interesting Disney facts. I realised that as the day went by I was limping less and less, I think this was because I was enjoying it so much I wasn't thinking about my injured foot.
Today was pretty hot so we decided to cool down with a ride on Splash Mountain which is one of my favourites and a pineapple float dole whip, another favourite. My notes have now run out so I can't remember what happened next but I think we went back to the hotel to relax next, we may have gone in the pool for a quick dip as well.
We ate at Pop then got changed into our costumes for MNSSHP. After the pouring rain of the first MNSSHP night we opted not to go the whole hog with our costumes so Mike was a Pirate and I was a Hoola girl.
We saw a lot of great costumes that night and collected lots of candy, although they were only giving out 2/3 pieces per spot. We staked out a seat for the parade which was great and then HalloWishes, I kept our spot while I sent Mike off to get us a drink and to buy my something for our anniversary. While he was gone I made friends with a small American girl, children seem to like talking to me for some reason, maybe because i'm not much taller than them! DBF came back with a coke and a Chip n Dale pin for me, I'd planned 3 surprises for him (number 3 is tomorrow) and he got me a pin - MEN! The fireworks were great of course and I said goodbye to my knew friend. We called it a night about 1130 and headed back to Pop to bed.
Tomorrow: Surprise number 3 and a parkless day
