Return of the castaway club blue sling backpack?

we were on the May 3rd Treasure. That new backpack bag thing for CC members is kind of weird. I gave mine to this couple we met on the Avis shuttle who were beyond excited to go on their first cruise. I then didn't feel bad for buying the Treasure tote bag in Mickey's Main Sail. Now that bag is beautiful and vinyl coated fabric.

Same. Also on the 5/3 Treasure cruise. The Treasure backpack/cooler bag is odd. Also doesn’t look like it stays closed easily. I purchased the Aloha brand DCL pool bag in the swim store on deck 11.

I don't think even if you pulled the two straps tight that the top sealed completely? I would have much rather have had a real backpack with the Treasure logo.

It doesn't seal completely - it gets close, but there's obvious limits to how long anything will stay cool in there. Much better merch to be had elsewhere on the ship so I reset my expectations for the free gifts.

Everyone we got behind who was using the free backpack/cooler seemed to have a gaping hole in the top where it didn’t completely close.

Yes, all Castaway club members (at least one prior DCL sailing) Good chance the Destiny will have a special bag. Even the Wish tote for the first months were inaugural sailing ones.

Yesterday I was watching a vlogger who sailed the Magic at the end of April and sure enough the gifts were the swing bag and old style lanyards.

I'm going to bring one of my nicer ones for our Magic sailing in July.

I got off the Magic this AM and they were still giving out the newer CC bags… I am Pearl so I got everything that comes with it and saw others with new bags… I did see a few people using the slings but I think they brought it with them

Just got back from a week on the Treasure last weekend … met a nice couple who was on their 52nd cruise and were only getting off at castaway to see their name up on the board - nope. DCL hasn’t gotten around to it. They were very disappointed, and I’m not impressed either. Gonna refocus my hopes and dreams on towels and tumblers…

They onlyadd once every so often and you are receiving a notification once it has been added

Typically, a tote bag (silver), wet/dry bag (gold), beach towel (platinum) and glasses (pearl). You get the gifts for each level up to yours.

However, as has been noted here, some of the older gifts are being swapped in (mainly the sling bag for silver and luggage tag for gold). So there's no guarantee right now what you'll get.

You'll also get lanyards in the pearl color (which is either silver or black, maybe with the 'mickey head' or maybe without).

I think that's because the Treasure is still getting the inaugural gifts, which are different from the standard Castaway Club gifts.

Correct. Also the Treasure lanyards are the ship graphic one rather than the Mickey. And the towel is a Rectangular one with tokens and a tic tac toe game rather than the BIG mickey towel.

Oooh, I hope this means we get fun inaugural stuff on Destiny and Adventure this winter. We were on Wish month 1, but it was our first sailing so we didn’t get any of the cool special items.

Still can’t quite convince myself to sail the treasure for a whole week.
