Return of Canadian Resident Discount

They aren’t going to extend it. Their official answer is that if the tickets expire you can use the value ( what you paid originally) against the price of a new ticket. Quite a few of us have already been through the process and had to pay unfortunately.

we also purchased cnd resident tickets in 2020, they were extended to Sept 2021 but we have no plans to travel until possibly April 2022.

were you able to get your tickets extended to 2022 under the cnd resident price you originally paid?

After the rules changed in July for Aug trip for vaccinated people And we no longer had to quarantine we were able to go. .

I’m not expecting any discounts in the near to mid term future. Disney has significantly raised the price on park tickets, and have been very clear that they are intending to maximize how much park visitors spend. Their attendance keeps going up, and with an artificially low capacity due to covid, plus lots of pent up demand for Disney, they have no reason to offer discount tickets right now.

I purchased the UK ultimate ticket knowing that I may get a slightly better value with a discounted Canadian resident ticket, but I feel that gamble was worth the risk. It cost me $3400 CDN for 3 adult and 1 child passes, so $850 CDN/person for a 14 day hopper and water park ticket with memory maker. Not going to do much better than that.

Ugh I was on the phone for 40min and got to the same conclusion, I don’t feel like we should have to pay the difference. Hoping to escalate and get a different answer

I'm sorry to say that I highly doubt WDW will extend your tickets again. Remember a couple of things, they are wide open and they have lost billions... that they want back.

If they aren't hard tickets I believe you have to use the app, rather than the website.

@mort1331, Go into MDE "My plans" scroll down the page past "My planning party" theres a section with "daily itinerary" and "tickets and memory maker". Click on tickets and it will show you this



That's what I see in my account anyway. My tickets were just exchange certificates (the green thingies)

Thanks,,got them,,,and yup they expire sept 2021,,,and the waterparks dec 2021. Now I can be too upset,,,,the park passes have 2 days on them left,,,they were from when we were down and the parks closed so could not use up all the days and they still gave us credit for them. Now some would say,,they owe us,,,but I look at as the whole place was shut down and we were not sticking around. We will us that as deposit for our new tickets.
But what is weird, and I need to call before they expire is one ticket for my daughter is missing and one waterpark ticket for my wife...strange.
