Return National Car @ Alamo in DtD

We're frequent WDW visitors and are used to being able to return either National or Alamo cars at the Dolphin hotel.

The Katella location looks to be both National & Alamo, is the Downtown Disney location ONLY for Alamo returns, or will they accept a National return??

We're picking up a National car from SNA and it would be a shorter walk back to VGC if we can use the DtD location.

I use the one on katella next to alpine. They have a shuttle fwiw.

Thanks, I did call already, but the guy in the call center didn't really seem to be very sure (sort of said "no"), plus here on the Dis people have first hand experience with stuff like this! Would you know the local phone number of the DtD location??

If it's not listed as a return location when you try to make the reservation online, assume you can't return it there.

Call the branch directly to confirm if that is an option.

I am a National Executive Elite member...while I do know that they freely share cars between National, Alamo, and Enterprise as they are all owned by the same company their billing and rental reservation computer systems are all separate.

I would call the local National branch where you you are supposed to return it. They will be the ones that will know if that is OK to drop at that Alamo.

The DTD location, if it is the one you're thinking of around the corner from the Earl of Sandwich, is definitely an Alamo location. The guys there are usually very helpful, so I guess if you call them as previously suggested to see how things go. You may need to park the car in their new rental depot area though, in front of the Grand Californian hotel.

The Alamo in DTD is for Alamo only per my understanding. They are super easy to use.

Thanks for the number! I called and spoke with the Katella location, and she assured me that the DtD Alamo location WILL accept a National car for return. She told me to (obviously) tell them that the car is a National car, and they will get it over to the Alamo people.
