We finally got DH to say OK to 7night Western cruise, DD and I are so excited!!! I have a deposit on the Jan.4, 2003 cruise and we have been working on final OK from him which he finally gave. (He said he figured he better not hold out too long so that I could get a decent airfare using a voucher that I have with Midwest Express that will expire in the next few weeks.)
Our return flight would be departing MCO at 1:00PM, with the new security is this too early if we use a towncar service and make sure we are off the ship right away at 8:30 or 9:00? When we cruised in Dec.,2000 our return flight was at 10:45 and we used Tiffany Towncar and we had no problems but that was before all the new security measures.

You should be fine, particularly if you use a towncar. We take Happy Limo, and since 9/11 they pick you up across the street in the parking lot. It is only a very short walk. The only thing to beware of is that the security line at MCO can get out of control when a lot of cruise ship passengers are there. On our last 3-day Wonder cruise, it was 90 minutes when we arrived, stretching all the way to the doors by the check-in counters! Thankfully, our flight was at two, so we did some shopping at had lunch at Chili's until it calmed down to a half hour wait. That was on Sunday...not sure how Saturday would compare, but I'd guess it wouldn't be quite as bad.
