Somehow on Friday when we got in from MK, I deleted a whole folder of files from my memory card when I was in the process of transferring - still have NO clue what I did, never got a "Are you sure you want to delete these files?" message - NOTHING.
Anyway - I was SICK. We had finally caught up with Daisy Duck, and there were a couple other photos that were not really "recreatable". I know it's not like it's a once in a lifetime vacation for us, but each and every time DD and I step in the parks, memories are created that I like to capture!
I took a deep breath, opened up my trusty "GOOGLE" and searched on Restore Deleted files (or some such thing....)
I had several "hits" and found one software (Freeware) that a gentleman had reviewed that was as successful as some of the programs you had to buy.
I downloaded it... ZAR (Zero Assumption Recovery) and let it do it's thing. It was a miracle - in a few minutes, it had recovered almost all of my photos..... but there were still a couple that I wanted that it did not restore. I searched some more and found "File Rescue Plus" - not freeware, but it said you could try a free trial, it would recover the files, and the you could save two. So I gave it a shot - it appeared to recover all the files, but at closer look, some were corrupted, but again - I was able to recover three more of the files I wanted!
I did not purchase the software, but I was happy with the results, and I hope that I never am in the position again to need it!!!
So if any of you are ever in the some predicament... remember there is software ot there that can help!

to Starbuck's for a cup of coffee. I need to get some things accomplished around here today and not DIS and play with pics all day long!
