Retirement gift for dad

I need some help on what to get my dad for a retirement gift. He's retiring from the railroad after 40 years in July. A little background, he does play golf (but not much), likes to go to lake cabin(but doesn't fish), and he likes to vacation (when he had time). He loves anything Michigan Wolverines and Chicago Cubs or Blackhawks. He loves spending time with his grandchildren. I have asked my step sibilings what they are getting him but have not gotten any answers, so my time is coming up fast. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Vamp

Does he have a GPS?

For me retirement would mean more time to travel. So a GPS and a great book on driving around the USA would be a wonderful gift.

Although the title for this one might be a bit morbid I'd really like to have this book for a travel guide.

Tickets to a game or maybe even a season pass. Is there anyone way your siblings could get together and send him on a trip

My dad, step-mom, step-bro and family, step-sis and family are all going to Cayman Islands for vacation so I doubt I get any help from them. Not sure what price range I guess up to 100.00. And he has GPS but thanks though.

Something for the cabin at the lake? Is it equipped with a tv/dvd or blu-ray player?

I think Bill's GPS suggestion is great. Just one other thing: Does he have any interest in model railroading? If he gets into that you'll never struggle again for gift ideas because there's no end to it.
