Rethinking my BOG lunch

I have a lunch ADR for BOG on our first day. It's myself and my sons 13 and 22 and my oldest son's girlfriend 24. I get so nervous when I read the bad reviews, I would hate to waste $100 on lunch and have a bad experience. I don't expect superior food, but the reviews that mention no clean tables, cold food etc concern me. Thoughts?

For lunch it is very good! The best Quick service in Magic Kingdom. My Sister love their fries but the Green beans are sooooooo good!

I want the pork recipe, it's all that good. Desserts are on the smallest side, you can choose a snack in the park if you prefer.

it's a Quick service with real plates and silverware, it's more long to clean the tables as you don't throw the waste yourself.

For me it is a nice break in the middle of the day with good food and ambiance.

We use the dining plan, so I haven't really thought much about the cost. We have eaten there 3 times for lunch and have never had trouble finding a clean table and our food has always been hot and fresh. It is by far our favorite QS at the WDW.

This was our favorite QS, I loved the pork/potatoes/green beans! Of course, only you can decide if it is worth it for you but we loved the atmosphere and the food.

ETA: We were a party of 8 (willing to break into two groups of 4 if necessary) and we found a big round table that sat 8 right as we walked in.

We've never had a bad meal here or any trouble finding tables. Going back for lunch again next week and looking forward to it.

We really enjoyed it for lunch. And the ability to pre-order and not have to wait in the ordering line was great!

We ate there all 3 meals in Nov (not the same day) and Lunch was by far the best for our group. It's the only one we plan to repeat this December when we go back.

We've had good lunches there and no problem finding a table- I always try for early lunch reservations if its a busy time for ease of finding a table- we were there during spring break this year and had no problems with an 1130 ADR- plenty of empty tables, fast service, hot food.

All of our meals there have been great. So good in fact that we are eating there several times on our upcoming trip. It is definitely the best QS in WDW. I haven't seen the negative reviews that you are talking about, but I wouldn't put much stock in them.

Don't drop it. You'd regret it. We had breakfast, dinner and two lunches there in December. They were stellar! (Except the second lunch, some of the food was a little cold. But we could have sent it back. I am sure they would have fixed it had we asked.) Sure it was loud, but much quieter if you can get a seat in the Beast's wing. It was nice to refill your drinks, too!

We had our first lunch at BOG last week and it was a highlight for us! I had the roast beef on millet bread with green beans and it was the best QS I ever had at MK. We will definitely do lunch again.

We had lunch there last year, and had such a great experience, that we booked a last minute breakfast for a few days later! We really enjoyed our Croque Monsieurs for lunch, no problems with food, service, cleanliness, or anything! We have ADRs for lunch and breakfast again for September! It's such a beautiful restaurant, definitely do not miss it!

We had lunch there in December. We did the preorder, had no issue finding a table and it was a really nice break. This June we have two lunch reservations. I'm looking forward to having the beef sandwich one day and the pot roast the next :)

Add me to the list of BOG lunch lovers! I love everything about that restaurant. The turkey sandwich and the roast beef sandwich are amazing - I have a hard time deciding between the two. And the green beans are simply amazing! The strawberry cupcake is one of my all time favorite WDW desserts and you really cannot beat the ambiance of that restaurant. I have never had an issue finding a clean table. Last summer my DD13 and I wanted to sit in the west wing and we tried and tried. The last meal of our last day we almost didn't even go in there (we ate there 3 times that trip 2 lunch and 1 breakfast) but I am so glad we did. There was a clean table for two! I like the ballroom, too, and I don't mind the library it's just not my favorite. I don't think any of you will be disappointed!

We've eaten there and loved it! The entrees were all very good! I had the quinoa salad and I've been craving it since then. We are going to try and book two lunches there for our December trip!

Keep your reservation and don't forget to order a strawberry cupcake! Preorder your food to avoid the long ordering line. Enjoy!

Nothing but good experiences for dh & I. We've eaten lunch there many times and never had poor service, dirty tables, or cold food. Our favorite is the braised pork and french onion soup - have always been consistently good!!

It's always best to take reviews with a grain of salt, and experience things for yourself, 'then' make an informed opinion for 'yourself'!! Everyone has different tastes and expectations.

Must admit that we HATED our lunch experience at BOG. Food was really not good, it felt disorganized, and we will not do it again. We've done dinner here multiple times and will do so again in Aug.

Since reviews are a mixed bag, I can see keeping it and seeing for yourself! :)
