what is a must eat at resturant at the wilderness lodge.. and do you have to make reservations for them ?

If you are traveling with children, you should go to Whispering Canyon Cafe. It's a blast and the food is good too. Yes you should make an ADR.

The two "main" restaurants at WL are Artist Point and Whispering Canyon Cafe. Both get great reviews, but have very different atmospheres. Artist Point is a more "adult-like" setting for more of a fancy sit-down meal...steaks, salmon etc. WCC's food and atmosphere is more casual...meatloaf, ribs, chicken, corn on the cob, beans. There's also a lot of entertaining going on while you eat and a lot of interaction.

By the way, if you're on the dining plan, AP is 2 TS credits per person, and WC is 1.

Whispering Canyon IS a must with kids! 5 years ago, my DS had just turned 7 and they had the whole restaurant sing to him, along with all the other wild stuff the servers do there! It's a riot, and we're going to get an ADR there on our next trip, even though we can't stay there ($$). We also did a character breakfast at Artist Point that year, and that was really good. Didn't get to eat dinner there, but it gets great reviews. WL is a great place and you'll love it!

thanks guys... no kids here just hubby and myself..

and we are not on any dining plan... i havent read anything about that yet..

thanks

[I totally agree! this place is awsome. after staying at the carribean beach and allstar sports and pop though i wasnt impressed with the food court at WL at all. THAT IS THE ONLY DOWNFALL OF THE WHOLE PLACE THOUGH. you quickly forget about it!!

I really like Artist Point. The food was great; I love the salmon and the berry cobbler. Service has been good when I've gone. I like the Northwest a lot.

On my last trip to WL in APril....I ate the Salmon Plate in Artist Point 3 seperate times. It's that good.

Just be certain you can withstand the "antics" at Whispering Canyon before you decide to eat there--.
My choice would be Artist Point for a nice adults only dinner.

thank you guys i wrote them down as a must eat at lol
