Can anyone suggest a good place for a TS meal within walking distance of EPCOT? I am there during free dining and having a hard time getting ADR's in Epcot. Any suggestions?

The Epcot resorts (YC, BC, BWI, Swan and Dolphin) are all within walking distance of Epcot and there are many great restaurants there. Among others, I would recommend Flying Fish, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Captain's Galley, Il Mulino, Blue Zoo and Big River Grille.

I'd say if you only want one TS credit, try Spoodles at the Boardwalk or Captain's Grill (formerly Yacht Club Galley).

I'd highly recommend Spoodles. On the Boardwalk - go out the International Gateway in Epcot and either walk or take a boat. There are other restaurants on the Boardwalk - Flying Fish is good but I believe they are two credits. The ESPN club does not do ADRs but I think they take the dining plan. But Spoodles is the best! We love their appetizers which aren't included in free dining but worth ordering a flatbread to share. It is DD's favorite appetizer in the world. They also have a garlic shrimp appetizer that is great.

Most of those either take two TS credits, or in the case of Swan/Dolphin, aren't eligible on the DDP. I think Big River isn't eligible because they are outside participants who opted out.

I suggested Spoodle's at the BW and Captain's Grill at the YC because they are 1 TS credit each on the plan.

Thanks Guys!!! I always get quick answers on the DIS! I am going to check out these menus. Whew, who knew free dining could be so stressful! :rotfl:

Try the Captain's Grill at the Yacht club. The food is good, the walk is short, and it usually has availability.

I'm a vote for Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club - we had two great meals there last month!

To confirm what someone mentioned re: ESPN Club. It is true that they do not take ADR's but are part of the dining plan. We actually took the boat over there last November for a late lunch / early dinner and we were on the DP.

We love ESPN Club at the Boardwalk, we go every trip. Great atmosphere and food and big portions. They are on the dining plan and seating is on a first come first serve basis.
I've also heard a lot of good things about Beaches and Cream @ the Beach Club. They are also on the dining plan and seating is first come first serve basis as well. Haven't been yet, but we are planning to eat there on our next trip in September. Hope this helps!

Cape May clambake is another nice meal. They have non-seafood items too :thumbsup2
