Taking my wife and little girl to Disney second week of December. WL Club level with dining plan.

Don't really know much at all about the resturants so looking for recommendations from others who have frequented the park. Little one will be 3 1/2 and we aren't really into getting dressed up or anything to eat.

Basically some places with good atmosphere and some good food.

Appreciate anyone's thoughts.

If you can get an ADR, breakfast in the castle with the princesses is a sure bet for most little girls. There is also 'Ohana's at the Poly, Crystal Palace at MK, Boma at AKL, Whispering Canyon at the WL, Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. At any of these (and almost every restaurant at WDW), theme-park attire is acceptable. Our DD also loves the Rainforest Cafe, but I doubt it is on the Dining Plan. Just a few to get you started...

Menus are posted on this website and on allears.net for all of the restaurants by location. We dont do the DDP, but there are people here who can help you to get the most from your $$ on the DDP.

Happy planning!

We have each restaurant listed by where they are on property and the menus, it helps to know what your family's preferences are.

I do not do DDP.. never have, and always eat on property. If you are planning on one signature restaurant, I suggest Citrico's at the Grand Floridian... great food and awesome service. Also, I love Spoodles on the Boardwalk, fun Mediterranean, bustling, but enjoyable family restaurant. I definitely would do one character meal depending on which characters you prefer and you can find them listed on our dining page.

If you have specific questions on certain restaurants, feel free to ask away. We have lots of experienced posters who will be happy to share their thoughts.

Dinner with Cinderella in Castle
Crystal Palace in MK - Winnie the Pooh characters
Chef Mickey in Contemporary - Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto
Playhouse Disney at Hollywood and Vine at HS - Little Einsteins and Jo Jo and Goliath

There are plenty of other restaurants that you will enjoy but these are a must for your daughter.

Whispering Canyons is fun
Ohana's breakfast has Lilo and Stitch, and Mickey and Pluto -this was a lot of fun.

I try to schedule a mix of character/non-character & buffet/non-buffet meals.

I would definitely suggest 1 or 2 character meals for your daughter. Great way to get autographs and pictures without waiting in long lines. (Purchase an autograph book before going. The type with the picture slot on the facing page, makes a great souvenir.)

If she likes the princesses... Cinderella's Royal Table in the castle @ MK.
Pooh & friends... Crystal Palace @ MK.
Mickey & friends... Chef Mickey's @ the Contemporary Resort. (Easy to get to from MK.)

My whole family enjoys the Coral Reef @ Epcot... one entire wall is an aquarium and helps to keep the little ones amused so Mom & Dad can relax and enjoy.

For something a little different, try Boma @ AKL or Teppan Edo in Japan @ Epcot.

We also like Ohana @ the Poly and Whispering Canyon Cafe @ WL.

My children LOVE the Si-Fi Dine-In @ HS... sit in cars at the drive-in movies.

You can make reservations 180 days in advance. Read menus at the allears site.

We just returned from WDW with our 2 1/2 year old. Chef Mickey's for breakfast is a must. Our little girl enjoyed seeing the characters & the food was good.

My favorite dinner was Cap'n Jack's at Downtown Disney Marketplace. We had twin lobster tails that were wonderful!!! Great place on the water & great service. Very casual.

We also ate at Coral Reef at Epcot next door to Finding Nemo. Food & Service were both good & kids love the aquarium in the dining area.
