Restrooms

Same with that one between Fantasyland and BTMRR. I think it's just because there are so many kids in the area!
I have encountered lines at this one too - but I think part of the issue is the walkway to the stalls is narrow (stalls are only on one side) - that people are using the same few stalls over and over. You really have to make an effort to look and see if people are actually in the stall.

Each time I go there I pass people waiting and find empty stalls let the first in line know there is actually an open stall.

FYI - this is not a favorite restroom (odd thing to say, I know) - but it seems to be the least clean of any at DL.

What we decided on was to put the pull up on over her underwear. She was still wearing underwear and she'd most definitely feel it if she had an accident, but it limited clean up for me.

Great idea! We will do this for sure on the plane ride and in the late afternoon/evening when DS may get sleepy and need a back up plan! I'm sure he'll be excited about this since he'll get to wear his toy story underpants AND his lightening McQueen pullups at the same time.

This is an awesome idea. Just don't forget the ziplock bags to bring back the wet underwear.

Who wouldn't want to wear Toy Story & Lightening McQueen at the same time :thumbsup2

Also, how do people feel about letting toddlers cut in line for the potty? I haven't had to do it before (DD could hold it for days!) but may need to for DS. I was a bit surprised last year when a lady told several people in line (at least 5, including my DD4 and a pregnant lady) that her daughter just couldn't hold it, and escorted her daughter to the front of the line. But she wasn't a toddler... she looked like she was at least 9 years old!

If I'm the last in line and a parent and child come in next I'll always ask them if they "need" to go ahead. (Small courtesy that I would really appreciate if someone offered to me!!) I would not, however, feel entitled to invite someone into the middle or front of the line unless I was giving up my place for them entirely. That wouldn't be fair to everyone else waiting.

If a parent (or probably anyone actually) came into the washroom and ASKED to be let ahead due to urgent need, well, I for one would never say no.

You might also consider the Baby Care stations in the parks. Many toddlers use the potties there and rarely is there a line.

The thing about lines for bathrooms is that it means *people have to use the bathroom*. A toddler's need might not be any more urgent than someone else's need. And it's going to be a heck of a lot more embarrassing for an adult or much older child to have an accident than it is for the toddler.

I think its unlikely that an adult would not have the ability to hold for the extra 2 minutes it would take to allow a toddler to go. I dont think a toddler should attomatically go to the front but if they really need to go I think its awful to make them wet their pants because you need to go too

I don't think we're in a position to assess how long any one can hold their bladder. I'm pretty sure my grandma would argue with you on her ability to hold it longer than a toddler. And I definitely I think it would be worse to make an adult wet their pants, but that is only my opinion. I carry extra clothes for my kids so we don't have to cut in line. I will say that when I was pregnant at DL, I got asked often if I needed to go before others. I only accepted the invitation once, but it was sure nice of people to offer. I also always offer kids/toddlers AND elders to go in front of me if it won't affect others (I'm the only one in line, or there's nobody behind me).

My post-pregnancy bladder would dissagree with you. There are times where I get the urge to go and I need to go NOW!! Thank goodness for Poise Pads.
