When traveling on Amtrak (regular seating, not roomettes or bedrooms) where are the restrooms located? Are there ones located on each car? How many facilities are there?
Weird question, I know, but like to know where facilities are located ahead of time.

Two rooms on each car....one that's handicapped accessible, one that's like an airplane lav.

Thank you for the information. This would be our first trip on the train so I wanted to make sure I have all the information.

Would you also happen to know approximately how many seats are in each car?

I'm debating on having regular seats or getting a roomette for a trip to Disney.

On the Auto Train, the bathrooms are on the lower level of all the cars. On regular Amtrak trains, which are one level, at the end of the car.

Yes, 2 restrooms per coach car......both unisex.....

Roomettes are nice but too expensive for one night....coach sleeping for one night is not that bad....plus in the roomette, there's a toilet but it's in the open room....someone will have to step out .....and they are really small rooms....plus that upper berth is a bear to get up too......

My best guesstiment on people per car...90+ ....2 rows of double seats with aisle down the center.....never had any restroom problems in all our train trips....over 18 trips by regular amtrak....
