Just back from short Memorial day weekend trip and I thought I'd let everyone kow where we ate.
Stayed 1 night at All star movies and ate at the food court there. They had a nice variety of foods, although my family opted for a quick pizza meal. The pizza was not as good as the pizza at AKL's Mara, but we still thought it was ok. By the way, this food court is a madhouse--very busy with long lines, but large seating capacity.
Plaza restaurant in Magic Kingdom--My DH ate Chicken club and it was delicious! Very flavorful. DS's ate mini cheeseburgers and said they were good. I had the steak sandwhich and it was wonderful. This is a nice place to get out of the sun.
Captain cooks at Poly-- This is the quick serve restaurant at the Poly and is very small. Limited food menu but overall not bad. We has both breakfast and dinner here. Fish plate at dinner was good, as well as hamburgers. Chicken strips for kids were our favorite. At breakfast we had bacon and egg croissants-very good.
Ohanna-- By far our favorite breakfast character meal ever! We have done many charater meals but this was wonderful. Delicious food served family style. Character interaction time was perfect with lots of attention payed to my little ones. Food was great-- scrambled eggs, home fries, mickey waffles, sausage links, bacon, biscuits, fresh fruit, pineapple bread, and great coffe. We especially enjoyed the children's parade with the characters using maracas.
Hollywood and Vine--We had the Fantasmic dinner package and loved it! After hearing many bad revies of H+V on this board I was hesitant, but boy am I glad we did this meal. Food was awesome. Very fresh buffet food- pork veal sutlets, roast beef, salads, mac +cheese for kids, and on and on. Very very good. The need of doing a Fantasmic packeage meal has been greatly debated, but on a Saturday night and holiday weekend, it was needed. Seats were great and wait time was cut to a minimal. Would definately eat at H+V again. By the way, the steal chairs feel great on hot fannys after full day in hot park.
Kona cafe'--Great breakfast fast friendly service. Try the Tonga toast. It was delicious-French toast stuffed with cinnamon and banana. Great. Hubby had breakfast platter while kids ate Mickey pancakes. Great meal.
We really did not have a bad meal at Disney. We enjoyed various counter service meals-all of which were good.
Mahalo!
