We are taking my father-in-law who has been in remission from cancer but has been rediagnosed. Other than trying to get back to the hotel periodically for a nap does anyone know of places throughout the parks where he could just relax for a few minutes? His stamina isn't what it used to be and he will probably need some down time periodically just to rest.
Thanks!

If he just needs to sit down, there are park benches located around each park and (if you go when it's not mealtime), you can also find places in the sit down restaurants. Those are mostly hard (not cushioned) chairs though.

If he needs to lie down, each park has a First Aid station with curtained off cubicles that have a cot in them where he could lie down and rest. The First Aid stations are marked on the park maps and the CMs that work there are very nice.

If he doesn't need to lie down, but wants a more comfortable chair to sit in, you could go to one of the resorts close to the park you are in and sit on the very comfortable chairs/ couches in the lobbies. The MK resorts are easy to get to by monorail and you can easily get to the Epcot area resorts by boat from Epcot or the Studio.

he might also want to consider an ECV. Many people don't feel like they are 'bad' enough condition to use one, but it does help conserve energy.
