Hi, we are mostly going to be doing mornings and evenings in the parks with afternoons swimming and/or napping. We will however have some days where we are in the park for the afternoon. What do you do inside each park if you are getting tired or need a bit of a break? :goodvibes

Anything air conditioned. Indoor shows are good, a sit down and it's usually nice and dark with air con and entertainment thrown in - but I've been known to drop off during the American Adventure. :rotfl2:

MK: TTA (is it still called that?) the pleasant monorail type thing above tommorowland. Rarely any queues and a sit down with a view.

Epcot: sitting by the kiddies fountains (near mission space?) I see you have girls who are of an age where they would enjoy splashing around while you watch.

HS: honey I shrunk the kids playground or watching Indiana jones show

AK either of the walking trails with plenty of stops around the animals

TBH there are loads of quiet nooks and crannies in every park and I bet every group has its own little 'happy place' :goodvibes

we have a nice long sit down lunch in an air conditioned table service restaurant.
usually a very late lunch

Good places to refresh and maybe even cat nap.

Magic Kingdom - Hall of Presidents, Liberty Belle Riverboat, Carousel of Progress, Tom Sawyer Island.

Epcot - Ellen's Energy Adventure, The American Pavillion, benches in front of the lake at the front of WS are almost always empty (between the two shops).

Animal Kingdom - Nemo, lots of quiet nooks and crannies if you look outside in this park.

DHS - Idol (but it's closing).

I also agree with a nice long air conditioned lunch.

In the MK we go on the TTA as that's nice and long-ish and you get a nice little breeze. If its not busy they let you stay on it. Also the train around MK is good. The Hall of presidents is also a good one, although like PP I also tend to fall asleep in that one.

In HS we do the Indiana Jones show...although I understand that's closing soon-ish.

Epcot we do Ellens universe of Energy or the American Adventure.

At AK we tend to bus it to AKL and chill out there.

You could of course just come out of MK or Epcot and ride the monorail for a ages.

We really enjoy people watching so often find a good bench in the shade and stay there for a while. :goodvibes

Thanks all :goodvibes I have made notes of all your suggestions. At this rate I will need to pay for extra luggage just to take all my notes :rotfl:

At the moment I am thinking we will eat lunch just before leaving our morning park and then have dinner at our evening park. Any days where we have a ts breakfast I think we will just skip lunch and have an early dinner.

The butterfly garden in the UK pavilion in Epcot is nice and shaded and lovely for a chill out.
You can also sing along with the band :)

I agree, the American Adventure is a great 20 minutes slee... ehm show.

This is the best comment:

I went last September and did many late lunches in the parks and I liked it a lot. While outside is hot and humid, being in a restaurant, confortably seated and sipping a milkshake is the best way to recharge your energy.
And if this means a quick dinner even better: you can watch an evening show without the hurry to finish your dinner before it starts.
Also, many restaurants have a special and cheaper lunch menu. For example Teppan Edo has a very good value combo menu for lunch only.

My favorite in park rest is just to grab a cold drink find a nice shady spot and just plop down and watch the world go round. Just taking in the sights and sounds of disney is just awesome when you aren't running everywhere trying to get there.
