We are staying on site at disney but are intending to go to universal etc.

Are there any good restaurants you can recommend on site for an evening meal?

Also what sort of time of day in August does the park shut?

Thank you :goodvibes

There are a lot of good places to eat in Citywalk which is just a stroll from either park. Any preferences as to type of food or atmosphere?

There is A plethoria of culinary eats at USO.Like Planogirl asked, what are your preference and we can help ya from there!!

We loved Margarittaville in Citywalk.

In US we liked Louie's

We ate at both 2x each

you'd have to define "good"
Tchoup Chop,Bice,Emeril's,Mythos etc..are the only ones we consider good.

Bubbas,Poseritaville Hard Rock etc...are basically themed versions of an Applebys or Ruby Tuesdays type restaurant. The food is acceptable but not memorable.

Hello, sorry to sound so vague :goodvibes

There is eight of us, all with differing tastes.

Maybe any that do buffets, or steaks, or something that is not all about burgers :thumbsup2

Sorry, have no idea what Citywalk is? Is it a place where they have a selection of restaurants and shops?

Have not been to orlando for 20 years so really starting on a blank canvass

Great City Walk Restaurant Comparison List:
http://www.universalorlando.com/Citywalk/Restaurants/restaurant_club_comparison.aspx#
It has menus, links and phone numbers.

They are all so different, its kinda hard to choose. Hubby and I tend to mix it up a bit depending on our mood. We LOVE Hard Rock because of the staff and atmosphere, we go there alot before concerts. Yes, its your typical Hard Rock cafe with overpriced burgers and typical american fare - but the music, memorabilia, and awesome staff just reminds us of Hard Rock Casino - Vegas.
While many tend to rave about Margaritaville, I don't like it much - to be honest the margaritas and mixed drinks are better at Hard Rock. They make fresh sour mixes daily. My fav is their raspberry lemonade.

Here's another vote for HR.:thumbsup2
I agree the cocktails are better here and I love the atmosphere. Can't wait until next year. :goodvibes

We ate at Bubba Gump. My DH raved about how great the stuffed shrimp was but, I don't like seafood .... my burger was very, very boring. The theming was neat though. If everyone loves seafood, I would recommend Bubba Gump.

We all enjoyed the food at Hard Rock.
