My fiance and I want to watch the MK fireworks while eating dinner as part of our WDW honeymoon! Which restraurants would you recommend and is there a particular area of the restraurant we should sit in (i.e. patio)?

Can you make a Priority Seating reservation for a certain part of a restraurant?

Thanks in advance!

You can ask for a firework view in your ressie but it is not guaranteed. Being that it is your honeymoon I would make sure that they knew--may get a better chance ;)

California Grill, Ohana's, would be some choices

I think that you can get a view at Nacrossee's -- anyone?

I forgot to ask...what's the best time to make the ressie to see the fireworks?

In my opinion the best restaurant to watch the MK fireworks is The California Grill ontop of the Contemporary. When the fireworks begin the lights in the restaurant go down and the music that goes with the fireworks in the park is played inside. Also you can take a walk out onto the roof and watch from there, the music is also played on the roof.

CA Grill is probably your best bet, as even if you don't get a window seat you can go outside on the deck to see it. 'Ohanas doesn't have that good of a view, IMO. I have read that Narcoosses has a partial view, but I'm sure someone who knows for sure can tell.

I would make your PS for 1-1.5 hours prior to the fireworks that night, so you'll have to find the projected time based on last year's hours and guess for the most part ;) If hours are released and it's a different time, you can try and switch your PS.

You can't request a table with your PS, but you can ask to have it noted it's your honeymoon and when you check in request a window seat (and be prepared to wait or be told no LOL!)

Good luck!

California Grill has arguably the best view, while the view from Narcoosee's outside porch is fine as well. When you arrive at either restaurant you can request a "window" table, but no telling if you'll get one or not. Being on your honeymoon may certainly help!! In case you don't, it's terribly easy to go outside and see the show. In fact, at Narcoosee's you might have to do that anyway. THe outside porch is level with the table area, meaning that if there are a lot of folks out there watching, your "table view" wiil be blocked and you'll have to go outside anyway!!
Timing is always a difficult matter, as no telling how long YOUR meal will actually last--assuming you get seated exactly at your PS time, which dosen't always happen.
Very generally, we try to make dinner PS at a place like CG about an hour or so before fireworks. So if the fireworks are at 9, we make PS at 8. THis has always ensured we're still eating (at some point in the meal) when the fireworks begin. But again-it could be different. Once we had PS for 8 and didn't even get seated until after 9!!!
Hope all this helped??

we tried to do this at Ohana's unsuccessfully...i had to lay across the table, husband couldn't see at all so i wouldn't count on there . they do pipe in the sound and some could prbably see, just not us.i had requested a table to see it , even offered to wait longer. they took us up on the longer wait but not the table to see it.

the seating would of course depend on when you go, when we went in Jan the CM recommended we get the first seating as people linger in order to watch the fireworks( if i recall the fireworks were around 7 or7:30) so we got the earliest we could but had barely sat down( about an hr+ wait)before they started.
