We are going to Disneyworld the week of November 11, 2013. I would love to watch the Epcot firework display from a restaurant this year. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good restaurant where you can get a really good view of the fireworks? Can't wait to have a magical time!

The Rose & Crown in United Kingdom or Mexico's Cantina both are good spots to watch Illuminations in Epcot.

Tokyo Dining is also a good choice - easy to get reservations - second floor - so you are "above" the ground level - and I'm sure that they would let you step out and stand on the balcony around the restaurant if you wanted to during the fireworks:thumbsup2

We enjoyed watching Illuminations very much from this vantage point - :wizard:

Epcot "Illuminations" restaurant viewing
. . . Rose & Crown (UK) - excellent patio view from 1/2 of the tables
. . . Rose & Crown (UK) - poor patio view from 1/2 of the tables
. . . Rose & Crown (UK) - excellent patio view from standing-room-only area
. . . La Hacienda (MX) - excellent window view
. . . Spice Road Table (MA) - excellent open-air-lake-side view (soon)
. . . Tokyo Dining (JP) - good window view, good patio view
. . . Chef de France (FR) - obstructed window view
. . . Monsieur Paul (Bistro de Paris) (FR) - partially obstructed from a few tables
. . . Liberty Inn (US) - obstructed patio view

There are several tables at La Hacienda with no view of Illuminations. If you are seated in the side room you will not see anything. There are some tables in the main room with no/a poor view as well.

The only place were you're pretty much guaranteed to be able watch Illuminations is Rose & Crown. They have some patio tables with an excellent view and a reserved viewing area for folks at tables without a view. The servers allow (expect) you to go out to watch Illuminations and then return to your table to finish your meal. I don't think any of the other venues really expect (encourage) guests to get up during the meal to watch Illuminations. This is the view from the front of the R&C viewing area:

I can rule out Bistro as a good option. A handful (maybe 3 or so) have a view of the show. Most tables have little to no view at all. I would not go there with any hope to see Illuminations.

I agree with the warning about La Hacienda. A few tables have an amazing view of Illuminations. Other tables have an okay-good view. But there is a side room with absolutely no view at all. Where you are seated is the luck of the draw.
I also agree that Rose & Crown is the best for viewing Illuminations.
However, if this is your first time seeing this evening spectacular, I strongly believe it is best seen outside lagoon side and not in any restaurant.
Enjoy.
