We are NOT on the dining plan, we have a car and would love to hear of any restaurants to try while staying in Orlando. Willing to drive outside of Orlando as well.

We love Giordano's pizza. (chicago style) we read rave reviews about flippers (new york style) but were not impressed. Plus it took FOREVER.

Millers Ale House on 535....the best place to eat...great food...even better prices!

I really like that restaurant the the Dolphin Hotel, can't remember name. Any one? Have fun!
:woohoo:

We have enjoyed the Bahama Breeze (mostly seafood) and the Sweet Tomatoe restaurant (mostly veg but really done right).

I second Giordano's. I had them deliver the pizza on my last trip to POR and we had no forks or plates - so messy but so yummy!!!

I was going to mention Sweet Tomatoes and Bahama Breeze as well. Sign up on their websites for coupons. Another of our favs is Chevy's, located in the same center as Sweet Tomatoes (Souplantation here). We've been on the DDP the last 5 years we've been there but we have eaten at these locations.

Also, if you want some fast food choices that aren't too far of a drive from WDW (we always have a car with us) you can find McD's (regular priced menu) on the 192 (Irlo Bronson). Drive towards AKL. Before you reach it you will see Sherbeth Rd. on the left. Turn left and follow the road around. McD's (and Walgreens) will be on your right once you reach the 192. A little further down there is a Chik-Fila as well. Burger King, Wendy's and many other fast food chains are located here. It's not far at all from WDW. If we are at WDW and want McD's this is where we go. Cheaper than the one on property, they even have the $1 menu.;)

There's a Waffle House as well which is kind of cool to go to if you don't have them by you. (we don't) We also like Cracker Barrel for a funky place to go to.

Oh, and on the other side of the 4 from Crossroads (where Chevy's and Sweet Tom. is) there's a Lone Star Steakhouse. We haven't been to that particular one but we have one here locally that we go to that is really good, and pretty reasonable. They have kid's meals (kid's eat free on Tuesdays-2 per adult and free at lunch on Sat.)My Dm and I will frequently share a meal at Lonestar.

House of Blues in DTD is pretty good. You can get a certificate at restaurant.com for a good price.
