I want to book a restaurant for my 2 sisters and I for our arrival day to really get things started and get in the spirit. We'll be there Dec. 18th - 23rd. I have tried and tried for CM, but the earliest they have is 8:50, and that's just too late. Can you recommend some other restaurants that could help us get into the Christmas and Disney spirit?? Thanks

Dinner

That's the problem, I wanted Chef Mickey's, but the earliest ADR they have is for 8:50 PM, which I think will be too late.

Any other suggestions? :santa:

I agree that Chef Mickey's is best, but there are other great places too! My two other favourites would be 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace. They're really Disney-Vacation to me. We eat at those 3 every year! I'm sure no matter where you eat you'll have a great time! :)

If you REALLY want to go there. Then I say show up at least a 1/2hr before they open for bk or din. That would be your best shot.

Anyone know what time they would open for dinner on Thursday, Dec. 18th?
Thanks

Forget Chef Mickeys--you want the California Grill. Great food, great view--very Disney!

I would suggest a dinner show like Hoop Dee Doo or Spirit of Aloha, we always do one our first night.

Another suggestion would be O'Hana's I love the atmospere and when you get a table with a view of the castle it is breath taking.

HOW about CRYSTAL PALACE pooh, tiger, eyorre, and piglet how disney is the MAGIC KINGDOM IN THE MORNING 4 BREAKFAST OR AT NIGHT ALONG WITH WISHES THE FIRST NIGHT!!!!!

Everyone must be thinking the same as me(as evidenced by the previous posts and your inablility to get an ADR) that CM's is the ultimate in Disney spirit!pixiedust: :cheer2: My second choice would be the HDDR; it is a must for us every trip.:thumbsup2 It is just good family fun with lots of laughs and good memories.:jumping1:

CMs would be my first choice too. However, Cali Grill is a great option. The view is spectacluar especially if you time it with fireworks.

I used to love Ohana for a first night but the last time i was there it was not so specatular. I'd probably give it another shot though if I could not get CM or CG. The view at night is wonderful and always sets me in the Disney mood.

CM is the best but OHANA is a great alternative. Think of going early then catching the fireworks from the beach at the Poly. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the 1st night. CG is also a great choice but on the more expensive side. Have fun!
