This will be our first trip on the dining plan. We usually share meals at Disney when paying out of pocket. Obviously we expect to use a credit (or pay oop) for every person at buffets, other AYCTE places (like Garden Grill) and character meals such as Akershus and the Bon Voyage breakfast. I expected to be able to share credits at most other table service restaurants--ie, order an entree, dessert, and appetizer if on Deluxe plan for a single credit and share the food between two people. I understand and respect that some restaurants might choose not to allow this, but I don't want to be surprised after we arrive with our party of 10.
I have seen Via Napoli mentioned over and over as one restaurant which does not allow guests to share a meal on a single credit. I was surprised when someone recently said that Beaches and Cream also would not allow two people to share a burger and sundae on a single dining credit. Are there any other restaurants that do not allow guests to share a single dining credit worth of food? About half our party is light eaters, so ordering 10 entrees at every meal would result in a massive amount of waste. I was planning to use the number of credits to match the amount of food we are ordering and avoid places which expect every person to order a full meal. Specifically, we were planning on Skipper's Canteen, Mama Melrose, Le Cellier, Morimoto Asia, and Rainforest Cafe. Any problems ordering fewer meals (and using fewer dining credits) than the total number of guests at these restaurants?
