We still have Bennigan's and Ground Round here. We also had a Don Pablo's but I'm not sure if it's still open or not.

We have a Godfathers, here in North Miami, included inside a Gas Station, HESS I believe? I miss Taco Viva, Black Angus Steakhouse and New England Oyster House. These are the places I went to as a Kid.

There is one of the old Red Barn restaraunts down the road, its actually now a heating and cooling business and the "barn" has been painted blue.

just thought of another: Ground Round

you'd get a basket of both peanuts in the shell, as well as popcorn and you were expected to toss the shells onto the floor (early 70s)

can't remember what i ate there - just remember the peanut shells!

I loved the peanuts. The Ninety Nine? is now in the building that the Ground Round used to be in. No comparison. I loved the Ground Round, hate Ninety Nine. Yuck.
There was Lums. I think it was a national chain, not sure.

I was thinking about Farrell's the other day and how much my kids would have enjoyed it!

I miss the old Noble Romans Pizza where they had the great deep dish pizza and the old movies. The Noble Romans they have now are nothing like those.

I miss Taco Tico. Their cheese enchilada got me through my first pregnancy!

Anyone remember VICTORIA STATION? The restaurant was inside a red train caboose and had the *best steaks ever*! I ate at one in Charlotte, Atlanta and Tampa. Maybe they were only in the southeast?

Nickerson Farms on the freeways in the midwest-we always stopped there on the way to visit my grandparents.

We had one up in westchester county in NY , went there when I was a kid a few times, cant say I remember it well other than the name and the train part

I miss Don Pablo's. I know they are still around but nothing near me!! It's a must when we go up to Orlando!

The Don Pablos are closed here in Orlando too, at least all the ones that I know of.

Exactly what I was going to say...I only remember eating the peanuts and throwing the shells on the floor. This was late 70's though. It was awesome.

I don't know how to spell it but they was a CuCo's Mexican restaurant in Gainesville and at the Landings in Jacksonville back in the day...now no more....

along with the rotating ABC that hit the morgue.
