I have found several lists of restaurants that ARE on the Disney Dining Plan, but haven't had much luck finding a list of all the restaurants that are NOT included. This is so helpful to me! Trying to plan a Feb 07 trip with the DDP and this is right in time! Thanks so much for doing this! :thumbsup2

Just remember that the 07 list isn't finalized (probably won't be until closer to the end of the year) so some of these might end up back on the DDP.

And on the copy I have The Plaza Restaurant @ MK is on the plan (not sure why it wouldn't be).

The ones I added a shruggie to are spots that I suspect are on the DDP although we've not used it there personally.

Raglan Road accepts the DDP. We've used it there in both May and September.

The restaurants at Swolphin don't accept it and some at DTD don't either. Among WDW owned restaurants the only two that I know of that don't are V&A and Le Bistro.

As for McDonalds, I've seen posts of people using the DDP for fries from the stands. Of course, you couldn't use it at the free standing McDonalds restaurant over sort of near AK.

Rainforest Cafe at the Animal Kingdom is on the meal plan???? Is it for 2006? or just starting in 07?

I collected this information from the Dining Finder at Disney webpage.

Note: I tried posting the URL but the DISBOARDS site won't allow me to, since I don't have enough posts yet. So, just go to the Disney webpage and do a search for Dining Finder.

I don't see anything that says 2006 or 2007, so my guess is that this would be the list for 2006 and perhaps they will be changing it in 2007.

It's my first time using the DDP, so perhaps some of the locations are more flexible in using it - even though it isn't marked as a DDP participating restaurant???? :confused3

Also, I rechecked the webpage for the Plaza restaurant and it doesn't have it listed a DDP participating restaurant; however, the Disney Dining Plan PDF file that I downloaded and printed (which is for 2007) does have it listed. Not sure which is current and which isn't.

If a restaurant is not on a list of participating restaurants, do not make dining plans on assumption or hope they may accept it.
Just pure guessing on my part, but the issue for restaurants are they get paid X amount of dollars per dining participant. (Adult or Child) It does not matter if the guest orders only soup, salad and drinks water, or everything they possibly can of the most expensive item.
I am sure the trade off for many restaurants is if they are busy with guests, more so than when there was no DDP attached to several travel packages. Some restaurants who can pack guests in without the DDP probably just opt not to. I am almost surprised Le Cellier doesn't opt out of the DDP. Maybe they have to. :confused3
Some places on the list are just snack or fast food counter service places. Could be they don't need to or are not equipped to handle the DDP credit transactions.
Like buffets, I am sure it was meant to even out. But if a restaurant does not see an advantage, and they don't have to sign a contract, then they don't.
Just my thoughts, right or wrong.

The web page is often wrong or incomplete. Perhaps it will be more accurate with the new upgrades? :confused3

I'm almost certain the Plaza has always been on the DDP. It is full service and in the MK.

And the QS places at the MGM that are on dswarren's list are most likely an oversight too. I mean I would almost bet on that.

Virtually everything else on that list is either at the Swolphin or independently owned at DTD.

BTW, welcome to the DIS dswarren! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Bluezoo would be good - the food is fantastic there. Also would love Rainforest to be as well :thumbsup2

They have "fine tuned" the dining plan options for 2007. There are several restaurants there were included in 2006 that aren't in the 2007 plan. There are also different "levels" of DDP. There is the "base" package, "premium" package, and "Platinum" package. The different levels have different additional restaurants that are added, with the platinum package including V&A's (although it says you have to order off a different menu). The premium and platinum packages also include certain tours at no charge and recreation... Links to .pdf files are posted below:

Regular DDP - http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...agespecific/eng/nontheme/tickets/07Dining.pdf

Premium DDP - http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...gespecific/eng/nontheme/tickets/07Premium.pdf

Platinum DDP - http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...especific/eng/nontheme/tickets/07Platinum.pdf

edited to add 2006 ddp url -

Even the Disney DDP pdf document is out of date, that was published before many of the non disney restruants had signed up, a lot, esp in EPCOT have since signed up for 2007.

FYI - The Boardwalk Bakery does participate and the Plaza Restaurant in the MK as well. I used it last week for snacks and TS credits. :thumbsup2

Can someone please let me know which plan is accurate. I emailed Disney to confirm which restaurants are on the 2007 dining plan and they said that the current list is on the web site a previous poster posted. I keep hearing people saying that the plan is updated and most of the restaurants that were on in 2006's plan are back for 2007. Where are you hearing this from. We are in the process in deciding if the plan will be good for our family vacation next august because so far 6 of the restaurants we want to do are no longer on the plan. Thanks

Neither of the lists is completely right, as far as we know. The one of the UK site is still being used to sell the DDP to the UK guests, but as it has Coral Reef as a 2 TS resturant, it s thew first verison from about 2 years ago.

The US site one is more up to date, but it appears other restruants have sigfned up after that (the non disney ones). I would dsay call disney dinning where you make the reservations and ask them to check, but that may also be hit and miss.

If you are e-mailing Disney rather than asking generally perhaps you should ask about the specific resturants yuou are intrested in (by name).

I think the real thing is to waiit and see, there may be more changes as it is not yet 2007, when in 2007 are you going, have you got time to wait and see?

This has been said in other posts but I thought I would say from personal experience that both Raglan Road™ Irish Pub and Restaurant and Boardwalk Bakery are on the DDP.

My family used TS credits to eat at Raglan Road in May. The food was great, service excellent and the entertainment first class.

I found a chocolate covered mint truffle candy that was about 4" by 4" square at Boardwalk Bakery. It turned out to be one of the yummiest things I have ever eaten! I used a snack credit to pay for it. I later took the boat back and brought 6 more of them home with me! :rotfl:

I was just wondering what year you were looking under? I have the brochure for 2006 and quite a few of the locations you indicate are participating
The Boardwalk Bakery is on the list as a quick service and snack location.
Crocketts Tavern is on the list as a table service restuarant and so is the Plaza.
Ragland Road is listed as a table service.

Are you referring to the 2007 list?

Here is the link for the Dining Finder, you will have to reverse the 'M' and 'O' in the URL in order for it to work. Sorry, but I don't have enough posts to use the complete URL.

Anyway, you will notice that some say "Disney Dining Plan Restaurant" and others don't. On the second page you will notice that the Boardwalk Bakery doesn't say that it is part of the Disney Dining Plan. Several others are the same way. Not sure if Disney is just having a hard time keeping up with all of the locations that they store this information in or ?????

disneyworld.disney.go.cmo/wdw/dining/diningFinder?id=DiningFinderPage&page=2

I would love to come up with a definite list, but it doesn't sound like that can be done as easily as I had hoped.

I realised that yesterday when someone pointed out to me that it is very old. I e-mailed Disney and they said that I should be using the list from the US site. I'm not sure how it's entirely legal for them to be selling the DDP to UK customers using an out of date brochure (i.e. whilst they can say the restaurants are subject to change without notice, they can't give differing information *at the same time* to two groups of customers for the same offering, and the UK brochure lists additional restaurants that aren't on the US list). :confused3 It'd be interesting to hear the views of Trading Standards...

They can do it because it says subject to change, and in general the changes ion the old UK veriosn are mostly (but not totally) for the better). I think you will find next year mnost of the resturants not listed on the 2007 US one will be back on :) (but it is only imho so i could be wrong).
