Our flight gets in late (7:30pm) and before we head out to Cocoa Beach for the night we want to grab a bite to eat.

I know of a Chili's near MCO but does anyone else have any recommendations of a family friendly place for a bite to eat?

Thanks!

DD6 and I stayed at the Hyatt the night before our cruise a few weeks ago and found plenty to eat and do in MCO to occupy our time. They have a Macaroni Grill (if you haven't been.....YUM!), and yes Chili's. We actually ate dinner at Chili's and found the service to be top notch, I was very impressed. They also have every fast food/deli type restaurant in the airport that you can imagine.

Enjoy your trip! :cool1:

Kelly, we are doing the same thing in Oct., staying at the Hyatt, where is Chili's located exactly, is it inside MCO or do we have to venture out? TIA :goodvibes

Thanks for the suggestions! I do love the Macaroni Grill

We were actually thinking about picking up our rental car and eating near the airport not in the terminal.

Any other suggestions?

Is there anything decent casual places on the Beachline headed toward the Cape?? Our flight gets in at 12:50 PM, and I would like to get the car and get on my way ASAP. We are probably eating at Grills for dinner, so something casual...ie...decent fast food would be ok.

TIA for any ideas!

Make sure you eat before you leave the Orlando area. Once you are on the highway to CC, there is nothing along the way (at least from what I remember).

I'm not Kelly, but I think I can answer. Chili's is actually inside the airport on the opposite end of the Hyatt. We also stayed at the Hyatt last October and ate at Chili's the night before the cruise. :)

::yes:: That is exactly right. The food was great and the service, like I said, I was very impressed. We would definately go again.

Enjoy!!

There is a Cracker Barrel restaurant quite close also. We ate there last July after our cruise before flying home.

We usually eat at Chili's with our ds6. There's a food court with a McDonald's and more choices.

If we did the food court, what would happen to our luggage if we got to the baggage claim after it went through? That is my concern, and why I am thinking it would be better to eat off airport.

This is my concern too so I figured something must be close off "site".

Thanks for the above suggestions.

if u go out the airport exit to s. semoran heading north there are several restaurants including chilis.

Would you happen to know what a taxi would cost from the airport to the Walmart? TIA :cool1:

Thanks for the information! We are just looking for something quick as we want to hit the beach that afternoon in Cocoa with our family that arrives a couple of hours before we do.

We encountered this when we arrived at MCO. Needed to eat but had luggage to grab from baggage claim before checking in at hotel. We went to grab luggage and got a wheeled luggage cart right there at the luggage wheel($3) and it made everything a snap! :thumbsup2

So, that's always an option. It held all of our bag and believe me we were loaded down with luggage (7 pieces including carry-on's). I would do it again in a heartbeat ....made things quite simple.

$2.00 first 1/4 mi
$0.25 1/8 mi
$22.50 hr waiting

As a guess the trip to Walmart would be $13-14 Plus tip each way.

The Lynx bus (Orlando) system runs a regular route from level 1 on the B side of the airport up 436/Semoran past the Walmart

The fare is $1.50 per person each way and a day pass is $3.50 if you wanted to make a second stop at a restaurant for example or even explore the city a bit by bus if you have a longer lay over.

They run about every half hour and I'm told they are clean and safe but haven't ridden them myself.

the Lynx site is http://www.golynx.com

Take route # 41 to walmart and the airport restaurants. Walmart is between time marker 9 and 10

A second useful route # 42 runs between the airport, the shopping malls and I Drive.

hello - those maps are fantastic - I am looking for a map that will take me from MCO Hyatt to Downtown Disney - and while on that way - need a store to get water and a liquor store... can you help with that? :confused3
