We are going for a quick weekend trip next month, we are not doing park hopper passes cause it is only 3 days and not worth the extra $$. So, since I have never eaten in the magic kingdom besides, quick service and the winnie the pooh breakfast, I have no idea- looking something good for a mom, dad, and a 4 year old.
thanks! Kristen

We just got back from a long weekend with no Dining Plan. Me, DH & 7 yo DD. We got lunch at Cosmic Ray's (Tomorrowland) - DH & I split a burger and DD had a kid's chicken nuggets meal (which we helped her finish once she was full). We brought in our own drinks via backpack. They also serve salads, sandwiches and wraps.

Another good choice for most bang for your buck is Columbia Harbour House. We did dinner there on our previous trip. HTH!

Liberty Tree Tavern is a good table service option for dinner. Thanksgiving-style food served family style in a rustic colonial tavern setting.

We enjoyed it, although some have compared the mac-n-cheese to Stouffer's; frankly, I thought Stouffer's mac-n-cheese was better. But everything else -- the turkey, ham, roast flank steak, green beans, mash potatoes, stuffing, rolls, gravy, salad and ice cream with cobbler dessert -- was very good!

My Family DW, 3 DD (6, 7, 8) and DS (3) Really enjoyed the family style of Liberty Tree as well. The food was decent, not 'over the top' delicious... but was filling and the plates were cleaned.

Crystal Palace is a decent buffet and the kids loved the dessert bar to finish it all off... DW and I enjoyed the view of the castle while eating. taste wise, It is like any other all you can eat, if you like all you can eat buffets, you will like the Palace.

Tony's is standard main stream Italian food... This is my personal favorite though. It is styled off Lady and the tramp and if you go to the back of the restaurant, there is a back door that Lady and tramp were fed at. My kids dig on the spaghetti.

All depends on what you want to eat and what you like... You can also eat in the castle if you want to spend the money.... Have done it twice and it is a great experience, but imho, the food is not worth the money. You have to accept you are paying for the experience of eating in the castle. I tried the Prime Rib.. and it was fatty and lacked flavor.
