We are in HH for the rest of the week. (were scheduled at Vero twice but sadly, both trips had to be cancelled because of the hurricane) Decided to head here but have no idea where to eat. Any ideas?

Just Pasta
Coligny Plaza 843-686-3900

Mellow Mushroom
33 Office Park Rd. in Park Plaza

Aunt Chilada's
Pope Rd.

Wild Wing Cafe
Circle Center 72 Pope Ave.

If you go to Reilly's Irish Pub, could you post a review? It is at 7 Greenwood Dr. off of Sea Pine's Circle!

Have fun! I'll be there next week.
:sunny:

Places we've been and enjoyed:
Captain's Seafood (on main highway)
Hofsbrau (or something like that, off Pope Ave.)
It's Greek to Me (in a small strip mall, off main road)

Places we haven't been but heard they're good:
Hudson House
Scott's Fish Market (within walking distance of Resort)
Jazz Inn

Just Pasta we have gone to the past two trips and we really enjoy there. Make sure you go to Rita's Ice's right on the same street for dessert (if it is open this time of year). The other place we went to all three of our HH trips is Captain's Seafood. Not fancy, but very good fresh fish. Wish I was there now. Chef Gordon I believe is down at WDW at the end of the week "performing" for the Food and Wine Festival, I'm wondering if he is even at HH at all this week. If he has any events, they are not to be missed.

We've liked Marley's and Red Fish. Alexander's and Garden Oak Grill are also nice, but a bit more pricey. Hudson's IS great -- be sure to check it out. Old Oyster Factory is a favorite with a lot of people, as well.

When you check into the resort, ask them for the restaurant guide. It's a magazine-sized guide (printed on newsprint) that has menus (and most often prices!) for MANY restaurants on HH.

Be sure to check for early bird specials, too! They can be great, as well as a good savings!!!

Short List
  • Old Oyster Factory
  • Alexander's
  • Sante Fe
  • Red Fish
  • Guisseppi's pizza right by the Piggly Wiggly
  • Wild Wings
Wild wings for lunch or a casual dinner. Old Oyster for a family dinner but no reservations so get there early and/or wait, DVC discount has been able to be combined with free salad in the coupon books. Alexander's and Sante Fe more upscale but early bird for Alexander's is very good. Several of those right around the resort are good as well including Scott's and Kingfisher's. I haven't been to Red Fish but after hearing so many people rave, I added it to the list. Look at the DVC discount list and also get the magazine that has he menu's and lists the early bird specials. Have a great time.

When we were there this past August, HH DVC included a $25 off coupon for the Boathouse II. There were 10 of us, and we all enjoyed it.

We love Captain's Seafood, too and sometimes do a takeout to the resort. After checking in on Saturday, we plan on heading to eat there.
Maybe we will see you there.

Great place for breakfast the Hilton Head Diner...just down the road from the DVC. Also for great deli sandwiches, the deli (can't remember the name) in Shelter Cove. You should get a DVC discount from them and they will deliver to the resort.

Santa Fe Cafe....Just tried it for the 1st time our last trip and it's now considered a Must! It's really terrific

Also if you a something a little nicer and fabulous try Stripes, an American Grill....This place is really terrific and probably on my top 3 restaurants of all time and I've been to some pretty nice restaurants.....

Thanks for all the suggestions...We are here through Friday so we should get a few of them in. Oh, we were out running around today and stopped at Reilly's Pub for lunch ( but now, looking at the address that was mentioned earlier in this thread, it must not be the same one.---This one is in the Port Royal Plaza near Sam's Club) It was "Cheers" like --and packed..The food was great---we would go back.

Thanks for getting back to me on Reilly's! Maybe it has moved and the address wasn't updated or something (or maybe there is more than one?)
We'll check it out next week! Sounds like a good place to eat!

I know I've seen a full menu on the web for Reilly's, but now I can't find it! If anyone has more info on Reilly's, could you add it here?
Thanks!
