Bit of a dilemma here for us im afraid, a few weeks ago i rang up Disney in full confidence that i would be able too book all the restaurants we wanted and at a time that would suitable for us. we dont visit until 5th dec.
And you can imagine my shock when im told that the Auberge is fully booked for the whole 5 days we are in Disney!! And you can guess which restaurant my 6 yr disney princess mad daughter wants to eat! :-(

ive managed to book CM and Inventions both at 6.30 which isnt ideal as we will miss Dreams twice, but it was either 6.30pm or 9.30pm! no other times available! managed to book BBWWS after being told by disney that that too was fully booked for the 6.30pm showings that week! luckily the kind lady transferred me direct to the BBWWS and i manged to cement a place for a 6.30pm showing.

but my major problem is the Auberge. So my question here is, what is the likelihood of us turning up at the auberge everyday/evening and maybe getting a table without booking? is it worth me speaking to the hotel check in when we check in? should we go to city hall and explain and see if they can help???
im kind of hoping that they keep a certain number of spaces for "walk ins"???

ive tried to book these restaurants well in advance and im quite shocked that they are so full already!

or am i doomed realistically??

any input would be much appreciated

Did you book with DLP Direct?

If you did it may be worth ringing the number on your booking confirmation to see if the Auberge can be added on as an extra. There still appears to be some places available when you book a hotel on-line.

Wow, that's surprising, we've never booked any restaurants in advance of a trip and never had difficulties booking!

You've got me thinking about our trip on the 11/12 now, and whether we should try and make some advance bookings.

Yes we did book direct. I may well give that number a call then. thanks.

Same here, we have never booked in advance before. we have never had the premium plan before though and we really wanted to try the better restaurants and especially the auberge. It turns out that the 5 days we go is also a Spanish holiday so maybe they have pinched all the reservations!! as a dad I simply cannot fail my daughter on this, I simply can't. she watches the Princess dancing there on YouTube and she talks about it endlessly :-(

On a fb page I go on someone was told to keep calling back and ask if the add-on bookings were released yet as they reserve certain times for people who add onto their booking, and they release them closer to the time. Also, try each day there as there will be cancellations.

thanks rosebug for the reply.

thanks all. ive just emailed the hotel. fingers crossed for a positive result.

well i emailed disney and explained the situation. had a reply saying that there are some spaces that week at the auberge and for me to give them a call. so i called them but was told that i could add it to my booking but i would have to pay the full price for 2 adults and 2 children. i told her that i already have paid for the premium dining plan but she said that on her system she can only make a new booking which has to be paid for in full. so i politely refused and now im kind of disappointed and frustrated but slightly hopeful as they obviously have some spaces available whilst im there, so im gonna try my best and book or walk in whilst im there.

well i havent got a clue how its happened but a lady from disney rang me and we now have a reservation on thursday 8th dec at 12pm in the Auberge!!!! i have had to pay an extra £28 for the pleasure, i have no idea why, she did try to explain in her broken english but she lost me basically! :-)

but i dont care, we are booked in and the daughter will be landed!!

Fantastic news! Glad it worked out! They really need to sort out allowing people with premium plans to reserve on booking.

So glad that you managed to get your booking, hope your DD has a fantastic time.
